Reggie Fils-Aime, speaking at the DICE conference has announced a new download service for the Nintendo DS, as well as voice chat for the Metroid Prime Hunters game coming to the DS soon. The voice chat will be for after and before games, not during, but it is still pretty great news. Check it out.

Engadget has some nice photos of a real Nintendo DS Lite unit. Well, not real nice, but they are real, for sure. They are actually a bit dungy, but you can see the unit. Hopefully new units will be a bit shinier and cleaner.

Nintendo's profits have been on the rise due to the incredible sales of the DS apparently. Nintendo execs have announced the company’s third quarter results, with profits more than doubling, from ¥21.3 billion ($183.7m) in the same period in 2004 to ¥55.66 billion ($480.3m) last year. The DS really is a license to print money, and it is only going to get better from here. Kudos Nintendo.

Nintendo is pushing their new WiFi online service with gusto. This new video spot for the service is touting worldwide head to head playablity, and it certainly has an epic feel. Could Nintendo be a driving force behind the beginnning of the worldwide WiFi push? We will see.

Yggdra Union, one of the mor epopular Manga in Japan, is going to get the GBA treatment. The game will feature card battle driven gameplay, and any Yggdra fans should be right at home. Gamespot has posted their review of the new Resident Evil Deadly Silence game for the DS. The game gets a respectable 7.9, with the visual and controls being the main drawbacks. If you are a DS player check it out.

The homepage for Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS is up and running. The game is the latest mario style game from Nintendo, and it looks like loads of fun. The homepage featurs the usual Nintendo DS fare, images and the like. It has sound too so beware if you are at work.

Nintendo sends along a slew of new screenshots from the much-anticipated DS game, Metroid Prime Hunters. The game looks as good as the last set of screens, and we hope it hits retail soon. Click on the news title for the screens.
