The Soldier Of Fortune series has been MIA for almost 5 years now. One of the first FPS game franchises to really capture gamer's interest on PC, it made it to consoles for a medicore reception. Well, now that the days of "dig up the past and put a nice coat of shellack on it" on here, it seems Activision has decided to grace us with another SoF title. According to Worthplaying, Soldier of Fortune: Payback will make a next-gen console and PC debut. We will surely hear more at the upcoming E3 conference. Rumor mill for now, but its a safe bet.

It seems that Codemasters is so happy with Clive Barker's work on Jericho that they have already agreed to work with the horror master on three more titles. The movie master seems very taken with video game, as you can tell by reading his speech from the recent games summit where the deal was announced.

“…Gaming is a great way to do what we need as human beings....to take ourselves away from the impressive, sometimes depressing facts of our lives and go somewhere where we have our own controls."

Despite most games adding an online component these days, fighting games have been the notorious holdouts. Fortunately, it looks like Namco is not going to jump on that particular bandwagon. We already knew that Tekken 6 will have an online mode, and now it seems that Soul Calibur IV will have online play as well. Great news, for sure, the latest issue of EGM has the scoop.

A new Rare scribe was posted today, and the company pretty much brought the hammer down on the rumor mongers. Rare revealed that they are not working on a new Jet Force Gemini or Mr. Pants game, but more importantly, Rare put the kaibosh on the Killer Instinct 3 rumor mill. Sorry KI fans, the denial sounds genuine.

"Purely out of contractual obligation, no, we're not working on KI3..."

At this time, it is safe to say that Rare has no plans for a new KI game. In fact, Rare goes on to say that until more work is done on Banjo Threeie, there will not be much info released on any other new Rare titles. Just have to wait I suppose, but we are sure Rare has something interesting up their sleeves. Stay tuned.

The news just keeps getting better and better for Ninty, my friends. Now it seems that the Nintendo Company itself has been rated as a top 10 Japanese corporation. This means Nintendo joins the ranks of names like Canon, Honda, and Toyota, as everyday valuable and reliable entities. This honor was finally achieved when the latest Nintendo console, the Wii, outperformed all expectations. This, combined with the unheard of sales number that the DS is putting up, is putting Nintendo through the roof!
