To help celebrate and promote the release of what will probably be the last great PS2 game, Sony has launched www.battleofthegods.tv. This website features not only game info and media, but a special video segment as well. Sony has footage of a group of LARPers (live action role players) doing battle with each other as different characters from the God Of War games. It is extremely entertaining, the video can be found at the link below.

There is not much PS2 news these days so when something on the againg console is newsworthy, it gets posted. The Red Star, an Acclaim title that had gone the way of the Dodo, has been given a second chance on life thanks to Take 2. T2 and XS Games announced a publishing agreement today to make sure the game sees retail shelves. The deal is only in place for Europe as of now, but we are sure something will be hashed out for North America and possibly Japan. Click read more for the full info.

Apparently, Konami revealed today that they will be halting the MGS3 Susbsistence online service in North America starting on April 2, 2007. Konami thanks all the players who participated in the game, and who have supported the MGS series over the years. Konami also had this to say:

The Metal Gear online tradition of stealth, action and team play continues on the PSP system with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops with all-new characters, levels and modes of play.

This leads us to believe the move is in an attempt to push up sales of the PSP MGS games.

Originally, in their God Of War II review, IGN wrote ""The first is that God of War II will not only be playable on the PlayStation 3, of course, but that it will run at a true HD resolution of 720p."

Well, now that Gamingbits contacted Sony to clarify, it seems that this was another error on IGN's part. According to Sony, the game will run at 480p and that is it. Check the link for the full details.

God Of War II received an almost perfect rating over at 1up.com when it was reveiwed recently. The game apparently has everything, including, it seems, a sex mini-game. Thisone is shorter than the Hot Coffee mod, but it is substantially hotter (in this autrhor] opinion. Check out the video for yourself, and remeber, you pervs, NSFW.
