Sony Pulls Plug On PSP Go Messenger Service >
2009/02/23 12:25:45: Posted by DM
Sony has confirmed that it will be shutting down the Go!Messenger service for the PSP on March 31, 2009. Sony launched the VOIP service in February last year, and although it brought "innovative communications features to the PSP," Sony said the service has not developed the desired user base. The service was a partnership between Sony and BT, the wireless network company. It allowed users of the service to send video, voice recordings, and text messages, just like a cell phone, using the PSP. Sony did state that further applications using the PSP Go!Cam add on, the camera used for the service, will be used for future software, so don't throw it out just yet, folks.
