Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Trashes Online Gaming >

Atari founder and legendary game industry figure Nolan Bushnell participated in a Q&A session at BAFTA in London last night. While speaking, Bushnell described the online internet gaming experience as "stilted and flat," and argued that real, social, gaming involved people playing together in person. It occurs to us that most gamers prefer a live-person multiplayer session, but first finding 18 friends to come over, then finding chairs for them all, then hoping they can all play the game, then finally getting it all set up, might be a bit of a chore. That, and not many games support 18 player split-screen.
