New Working Version Of The Pitt Posted For Fallout 3 >
2009/04/03 13:28:06: Posted by DM
A new version of The Pitt DLC is now available on Xbox Live. This third version should fix all the freezing and crashing issues that users have been experiencing. You must delete the old The Pitt content before downloading. You can do this by going to System Settings > Memory. Scroll down to Fallout 3 and select The Pitt. You can then delete the old version and re-download at no charge.

Haven't had any issues yet, but i've only made it to the steel yard so i'm not very far in.

this game has some of the best DC of any game ever,i cant wait for the level to be uncapped to 30

Really? I heard the Anchorage Alaska DLC was overpriced and not worth downloading. This one is chock full of bugs. I think I may be done with Bethesda. I enjoyed Fallout 3, but damn it all if there weren't a ton of bugs.

Level capping and not supporting the PS3 version with DLC was bullsquash.

I understanding the bitching about the level cap as others have complained about the same, but buying the ps3 version when you knew there wouldn't be support? Really? You have a choice and made it.

Also is this the same DLC as Anchorage?

I had the choice, others didn't.

Again, I'm not necessarily disappointed that I didn't get to play it. I've heard next to nothing but bad things about the Alaskan DLC and the Pitt seems to be worse. I'm saying that there is a large enough audience of PS3 owners out there who would buy the extra content. For them not to do it is kinda lame.

I also have heard that the Alaskin DLC was too short for the price, but to say that the Pitt sounds worse because of a bug isn't right.

Regarding the lack of PS3 DLC, the finger for that move can be pointed to plenty of people, but we don't know the details. Discussions about exclusive games/DLC can go rather deep when you consider the steps both MS and Sony have made this gen and that's just under the assumption that this was a paid exclusive. Bethesda could have just chosen on their own to not provide DLC much like they did with Oblivion. Who knows.

Without the details, it's all one big guessing game. Let these people without a choice worry about it, or let them be bitter for sticking to just one console. They'll never hear be bitch about the exclusive DLC for Mirror's Edge, no matter how much I love that game.

In the end, it's just one of many reasons why I can't wait for a one console future.

Well, that's your opinion on the matter. Mine differs.

Mirrors Edge was just a big case of a game that was a ripoff. A 5 hour parkour game should have had free DLC on all systems.

I'd feel the same way about Fallout 3 if it were the PS3 version that had the DLC, unless there was some exclusivity $$ associated. Bethesda just basically refused to support the PS3 version beyond it's release.

Then where did you voice your opinion to how it's unfair that the 360 version got left out in the cold regarding UT3 DLC? Or the extra content coming to Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2? Both games were very successful on the 360, with no sign or confirmation that there would be no/little post-launch support. Dreamcast and Xbox gamers have just about kept Tecmo afloat the last 9+ years through all of Team Ninja's games and now that Itigaki left, no support?

No, sorry, while you are generally very level headed, I don't believe you would say anything if these were PS3 exclusive DLC. I'm not saying any of this is fair or right, but that's the way it is.

In no way am I defending any of these moves, regardless of console. I've said it before, and unfortunately I'm sure it won't be the last time, but I firmly believe that exclusive DLC is one of the dumbest trends to start this gen. This along with "announcing an announcement" both need to die. I just can't hold it against a company when they warn us ahead of time about these moves.

Edit:
Also please don't see this in any way as picking on you, I'm just calling it as I see it. I appreciate it when I see anyone do the same for me (as long as they leave out that ignorant "F" word)
