Valve Responds To Left 4 Dead 2 Criticism > |
2009/06/09 14:16:28: Posted by DM | |
Valve has responded to the growing wave of negative thought towards the recently announced Left 4 Dead sequel We told you yesterday that just over 15,000 users signed a petition to boycott the sequel. Well, now that number is over 20,000. Valve's Chet Faliszek said that they want to wait and weed through all the comments, and that he is already getting e-mails, and he is responding to them, in turn. To counter the boycott's claim that the content does not warrant a full-priced stand-alone sequel, Faliszek asked if users thought that The Orange Box was a "ripoff," with its re-release of Half Life 2. We will see what Valve finally decides as the boycott grows, but the truth is, sadly, that developers usually ignore these type of things and gamers end up buying the game anyway.

"To counter the boycott's claim that the content does not warrant a full-priced stand-alone sequel, Faliszek asked if users thought that The Orange Box was a "ripoff," with its re-release of Half Life 2."Translation: "Left4Dead 2 will come in with Left4Dead1 and probably at least one other game in it."Pants would be shat if L4D2 came in a box with Episode 3 and/or Portal 2.I never put anything past Valve.
