Left 4 Dead 2 Boycotters Respond To Valve's Response >
2009/06/12 14:18:15: Posted by DM
Now that the Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott Steam Group is 27,000 members and growing, it seems they felt a response to Valve's comments on their boycott was warranted. It gets a bit complicated, though, so try to follow. Most of you know what was going on already, if not, here is a quick recap. The boycott for Left 4 Dead 2 group was started because many gamers felt that Left 4 Dead 2 did not warrant a complete and separate sequel, and did not warrant paying full price again. Not only that, but they claimed it would split the online community up way too much. Fine, valid claims, to be sure. Valve then responded that The Orange Box was a re-hash, and it was not deemed a rip-off. Well, now the boycotters have responded to Valve's response. With 27,000+ members, the boycotters say they are excited for new content, but still it warrants nothing more than an update or a download. For all we know, it could be a new main menu screen. Is it a new map, is it new monsters, is it new weapons, etc...? We'd like to know what is going to be in this new content." More valid questions. Check out the link for the full statement. This is going to get interesting, folks.
