Well it looks like we are in for a nice treat at the end of May with the latest dashboard update. It will include the very most wanted feature - downloading from the Marketplace in the background! It will also include multiple downloads at one time. It's about time MS! Click on the link for more information.

Great news.. except what happened at E3.. where all the trailers came out and I couldn't even get 1 at a decent speed. So if I can setup 6 downloads.. is it going to take 6x as long?

Most likely the hardware was intentionally crippled by MS to limit the number of downloads and background downloading. This was done until they got their XBL servers and infrastructure up to suff to accommodate more traffic.

multi threaded downloads rock, hopefully they have some kind of queue system.I really want them to sort content better and make the font's smaller so you can see the whole title of what you're downloading.. one can dream ;)Any change is a good change.

The reason for the lagg during the E3 demos is because LIVE was being hit something fierce. I know I downloaded atleast 4 gigs worth of content, I would imagine I am not along there. Any system, no matter how well set up cannot handle that much extra traffic at once, which caused the lag. It will go away, once people have downloaded them all.

I agree with Kaz, I had 1 gig of space left with all the demos and trailers on my machine. I had to look at my OXM discs and see what I had on my 360 and delete what I also had on discs. MS definately hooked it up big time with all the content they provided. WIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!
