The eDimensional G-Pad Pro Gyroscopic Gamepad will feature the same tilt sensing technology that the Playstation 3 pad has, and it will be released for the PC & PS2. It will also feature rumble technology. I guess this puts to bed the whole Sony argument that rumble would mess up the tilt sensing. It looks like rumble was ditched squarely because Sony does not want to pay royalties to Immersion Corp.Featuring a robust 12 button analog configuration, the G-Pad Pro adds intuitive and precise motion sensing technology to improve gameplay performance in virtually any genre of gaming. Rotate the controller on multiple axes to gain four additional control options in three dimensional space. The result is advanced new movement functions and a smoother, more dynamic ability to control in-game action. Additionally, users may experience decreased hand fatigue compared to standard keyboards or controllers.

I guess this puts to bed the whole Sony argument that rumble would mess up the tilt sensing. It looks like rumble was ditched squarely because Sony does not want to pay royalties to Immersion Corp. They didn't want to pay royalties to Immersion Corp and Microsoft, which settled out of court when Immersion Cop accused them of the same thing they did sony, and after that Microsoft bought a piece of Immersion Corp.

Wasnt this obvious considering the Wii controller has rotational sensors and rumble (and then some).

Yea, but alot of people beleived sony's reason for not having rumble in there. Its not like it will kill the ps3, but the rumble is a very nice feature to have I can't imagine playing a game without it anymore.

Sony's PR BS at it's greatest! : )

Just go to Wii60.com if you want to see more examples of Sony BS. As far as the motion sensing is concerned, I highly doubt this technology will catch on. It's completely unnecessary. In fact I think it will make games less fun. I've never liked games with gimmicky control schemes.

Sometimes you just get the feeling that Sony don't know what they want to do. Is just like the other day they didn't want stores to buy back used games for the PS3, then at the end of the day they said they don't mind. They need to start thinking straight and get themselves together if they want to convince people on what they are selling. June is here so they only have another 5 months now to get things right with the PS3.

Sony will do well regardless, because all the fears now the moment those ps3 commercials start rolling and the media craze showing people standing on line waiting for the ps3 and the radio stations start their free giveaways people will forget ALL of the previous issues with the ps3 and sony knows that.Gyro is VERY gimmicky and pretty much a joke the way it'll work is most people will DISABLE the gyro function in their games or most devs wont even bother putting support for it in their games.

So basically gyro is gimmicky and rumble isn't :)
