Sony Registers Trademark For New Control Pad >
2006/06/29 9:44:21: Posted by DM
According to Gamefront, Sony has registered the trademark name for the new control pad. The name? Why it's "P oo S" of course. We assume that the "oo" is a representation of the dual analong sticks. Now we have the Wii and the PooS.

Labeled With  playstation 3 sony

I don't know where to start with this. First off the name is stupid. Second, if that is what it means then it's kind of a rip off of the Wii name. I'm sure they're hoping it will get more people talking about the console. Come on Sony, naming the controller PooS is not the smartest thing you could be doing right now.

It that just plural for poo?

So, this generation, I have the opportunity to play with my Wii, or play with PooS?

I might just be buying an xbox360 after all...

Seriously, Sony needs to give at least one person who speaks english veto power.

I mean, honestly... poos?

I joked about the PS3 changing its name to Poo or something to combat the wii's name but this is just awful.

Yakuza most companies have at one time or another, named thier pad. Nintendo for one, had the wave bird pad. Sony themselves have always. Dual shock 1, and 2. And xbox with the s type controller.(not really a name, but a way to tell the diffrence from the standard pad)

People dubbed sony new pad the 'dual shake'. But im sure people will love this name better. (Sarcasim)

what a name !! it's gonna be difficult with this new generations names ! Wii and then Poos ... and they never think about those who are going to use this names every days with their friends at school or everywhere ( I mean us ! ) lol

Does anyone knows what the trademark number is? The Gamefront.de story fails to mention that and I can't find this in the Japan Patent Office database (of course it isn't the most user friendly site either).

Its not PooS smart ones, its P "infinity" S. You all need to look at the trademarked symbol before you say anything. And if you still think that says P oo S, I don't know how any of you passed your math classes or if any of you are even in middle school math yet lol.
