Oh shut up with the 'no good games' sh!t. Do you even own a PSP? How would you know? You're just going by what popular to say.
Written by VaeVictus on 2006/08/30

There are plenty of good games for the PSP. Get your head out of Mario's arse, clean your troll glasses, check em out.

I too agree there are not alot of good games for PSP which I used to own until the d-pad started mulfunctioning. I am glad I purchased a warranty through Circuit City. I got full store credit and I am a proud owner of DS lite now

I owned a psp, I sold it. I bought a DS, I still own it. Hands down DS cleaned up. I must say... A built in video camera would be nice.

yeah, the PSP has no good games. and no upcoming games with the potential to be really good. get over it, guys. much like the PS2, it takes time to develop a good 3D game. how many of the top DS games are complicated, 3D titles? Super Mario Bros....nope. it's 2.5D. Brain Age? nope. Meteos? nope. the DS is a suped up Game Boy Advance (which isn't a bad thing, by the way), so it's not a lengthy development cycle for it's titles. the PSP is basically a PS2 in many ways. now that it's survived it's first year, developers are starting to show what they can truly do with the system. Nintendo isn't going anywhere in the handheld space, so you don't have to feel threatened by Sony's entrance into the handheld market. let PSP fans enjoy their handheld and you guys enjoy yours.

bunch of babies, i swear...

Figboy-

Ok heres the deal. SUUUURE those titles are great, Really great games. You know what the problem is? The psp versions suck. They have no substance. Also your comment about "How many of the top DS games are complicated 3d titles?" obviously graphics dont make the game. Thats whats wrong with people today, They are all about eye candy and thats it... For someone like you figboy, Someone could release KILLZONE THE BLA BLA BLA and it be a super hi res jpeg that just sits on the screen 24/7 and you would be all amazed. Ive said it before and ill say it again, I like games, Not graphics. Graphics dont make a good game, They make a good game great.

look, DepheCt, i own those games on the PSP, and they are very fun, pretty graphics or not. to say a game like MGA has no substance is silly. Field Commander, which i forgot to list, is also a kick ass RTS for the PSP, with lots of depth and gameplay.

i'm judging the system by what i've played, and not based off of numerous opinions of the console from biased internet fanboys.

i've been playing video games for over 20 years, and yes, i do like to see the visual strides the industry has undergone in the past said 20 years. there's nothing wrong with appreciating something that is beautiful.

for you to say those games have no substance is just a sign to me that you probably have never played them. and what do you mean the PSP versions suck? the titles i've mentioned are all PSP games and designed from the ground up for the PSP (like Exit, Daxter, and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror).

the argument that the PSP is just a PS2 port machine is a weak one, as all Nintendo handhelds are generally good for is a retread of their classic titles (ie, Mario, Zelda, and Metroid). that is not a bad thing at all. i count each game as it is. if, say, Daxter was a remake of "Daxter" for the PSP, then it'd be a legit concern. side stories, or original adventures starring our favorite characters are still just that: original adventures.

the PSP is a great system with a lot of potential, and now, finally, after a so-so first year, we're starting to see a continuous flow of good titles. also, since when has a game had to be full of substance to be *FUN*? games like Super Mario Bros and Tetris are very shallow on the outside, but nonetheless, great games. i don't know who you are, but there was no reason whatsoever for you to attack my comments, which were harmless opinion to counter the blatant fanboyism prevalent on this site from it's readers and bloggers.

you don't even know me, but you presume to judge me as a graphics whore because i sided with the PSP. how do you know i don't own a DS? or a GBA (here's a hint: i do). i'm a *GAMER*, and i can take off my rose-colored Nintendo glasses long enough to appreciate quality entertainment, regardless of console (i own a PS2, X Box, and Gamecube also, soon to be joined by the X Box 360, Wii, and PS3 in the near, near future). yes, all consoles (and handhelds) have their lemons, but i'm not going to judge the whole thing as "craptacular" because of those few duds. i highly enjoy Brain Age and Animal Crossing DS just as much as i enjoy Daxter and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (two of the best looking titles on the PSP for now). get off your high horse and just have fun playing the games that you like, instead of ripping into other people for what *THEY* enjoy.

How about coming out with a version without dead pixels first?
Written by gamer (8) on 2006/08/31

DepheCt and Chris - You 2 sound like idiots. It's obvious you guys are just spouting off against the PSP because you want attention. How about you spend some time educating yourself before you post.

Mine has no dead pixels... neither does my bros.
Written by Storm on 2006/08/31

The dead pixel on my DS is way more annoying than the one on my PSP, and I would assume it's usually like that.

and as to the no good games thing...........

RIDGE RACER!
Written by Figboy (71) on 2006/08/31

my first PSP had a dead pixel, but it was pretty tiny, and not noticable while playing games. that PSP was stolen. my current PSP has no dead pixels.

in either case, dead pixels suck. but much like broken PS2's the dead pixel issue is being blown out of proportion. they're acting like everyone who has bought a PSP has had dead pixels, when that really isn't the case. and recently, there have been very few, if any reports about the PSP having dead pixels. maybe they have fixed it already. *shrugs*
Written by the_wolf (1) on 2006/09/27

All I can say is wow. How could anyone even compair the psp to the ds? the psp is a portable multimedia system complete with internet. The ds is a portable game system. So, the psp is very frankly 4 times better then the ds from the start. then the publishers that support it are all big in the industry. The games will look better with time. Every new console has evolving graphics. The ps2 didn't look anything like it does now at it's release. With all this it's clear that the psp is better, but let's not forget homebrew.
Written by gamer(6) (1) on 2006/09/28

Shoot, the screen on my PSP has no dead pixels, but a god dam piece of white dust or paper or something in the corner! pretty small but bigger than any dead pixel! And by the way no good game bastards, what about the upcoming "VICE CITY STORIES"
