Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi, purveyors of the Gran Turismo series, wants Sony's next-gen console to change the world, calling it "our weapon for revolution." He speaks mainly about the graphical power of the console, and how much the change from the PS2 surprised the team. Overall, he seems pretty taken with it.

And in this interview he says:In the past, you could only see about 30 [meters] in front of you, at the most," Yamauchi said. "Now, you can see several hundred [meters]. This changes the handling and feel of the gameplay greatly."Are he f*** idiot or moron? When you last seen driving game with 30 meter view distance? In Silent Hill in fog at night I had 30 meter!Whe you drive 100km/h you drive 30 m in 0,something sec!Yamauchi you are Sony fluffer! Wipe out your brown-nosed face and see more than 30m!

What's with the sudden barage of PS3 news? We still have at least two months till launch. The only thing I find newsworthy at this point is pre-orders.
Written by optaviusx on 2006/08/30
Well of course he's going to have good things to say about the ps3 thats to be expected I don't think we need any ps3 bashing here.

It takes a lot of will power to resist commenting on any positive spin Sony staff and developers have put on the PS3 this past year. One radical quote after another...

Yes must resist bashing , must resist....

Of course hes going to praise the PS3, his studio is owned by Sony lol. At least he admits developing for it is pretty difficult.

I'm still waiting for GT Mobile which was supposed to be a PSP launch title.

At least he doesn't badmouth the competition. Unlike certain people from a certain company.

More Sony rhetoric. They've been spouting this crap off left and right recently, trying to convince the gaming community that $600 is more than reasonable for a playstation...no thanks, pal. I'll stick w/ my 360 and eventually turn it into a Wii60.

Why do we have to bash consoles?? If you like it buy it, if not, then dont, they dont pay you money to come here and make publicity. As simple as that. GT5 will surely be a revolution though what the dev said was very silly. LOVE THE GAMES, NOT THE CONSOLE!!!
Written by Kenny K on 2006/08/31
you sony right Itaintrite?? NO sony fanboy has any room to talk about mud slinging. its true, PD praises on the graphical capabilities but they are porting a ps2 game with effects left out, how does that make sense. also to those who commented on GT4 running in 1080i, it DID NOT run in true 1080i. if you dont believe me watch the sony press conference where the PD dev commented on how there is 12 times resolution detail difference between GT4 and GTHD, if GT4 really ran at 1080i it would only be around twice the difference in resolution detail. but im sure a lot of my words will go un-noticed

hoe, i would say that that's good advice, except sony seems to be telling us all to love the console.I've still not seen much official stuff on games, except for some things that were pre-rendered, and speeded up, because the system could only do a few frames per secondWhen sony stops telling me how great the console is, and how it's better than anything else EVAR, maybe i'll stop saying that they're lying and under-delivering.

Ive yet to see the perfect console...we have 3 consoles to choose from because they are not perfect so if you have the money, buy all three, if not, then buy the one that has the games that you like. You dont have to bash the company nor the console. It is what it is. Instead you can bash developers who are lazy and dont want to push machine specs. What i hate the most is that PS3 isnt even out and theres lots of bashing and bad talking. They cant underdeliver because the console isnt even OUT!!!! please be reasonable with comments.

hoe, releasing a ps2 port as a next gen title is underdelivering

....... <_< .... >_> its RIDGEEEEEEEE RACERRRRRR!!!!
Written by mike_mgoblue on 2006/09/01
Playsation 3 suffers from "Sequalitas"...Ridge Racer 7, anyone??? I didn't think so!!!At the 2006 E3, Gran Turismo disappointed the audience so much that you could practically hear a pin drop in the room...and Sony's Phil Harrison LITERALLY had to ask the audience to clap for the game in order to show support for the developers...but nobody clapped!!!Microsoft has always promoted new games on the Xbox 360, and that is one of the things I love about it. Games like Gears of War, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Losty Odyssey, Shadowrun, Kameo: Elements of Power, and so many others would not have been possible on the Playstation 3, simply because it would have been too much of a financial risk. Sony's difficult development environment has forced developers to simpy make sequals to games from the past...No thanks, I would rather play awesome new games like Dead Rising!
