MS has released four new screens from Forza 2 that show off two of tha game's more exotic vehicles -- the Porsche 911 and the Lamborghini. The screens themselves look good, hopefully there will be a few more textures added before the retail release. Click read more for the rest of the screens and a partial list of the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Porsche vehicles in the game. (Thanks, Bud)

car models look really good.. but not photorealistic good like GTHD.. but who knows maybe the forza team isent going to that kinda look.. cant wait to find out
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

i love how people continue to compare these games like they know what to compare.

anyways, lookin good cant wait to play it
Written by Eamo on 2007/02/15

How can gthd even compare with this? it doesnt even have anti-aliasing for god sakes
Written by Fiery Food Dude on 2007/02/15

The Porsche looks really good. God Bless the 360.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

Eamo, it would seem that insecurities usually spark unneeded comments like that.

It would seem that no one realizes that you can not compare a demo containing only one car on the track to a full fledged game. not to mention the inclusion of forza's damage modeling has a HUGE impact on the final look of the game. i can further explain if anyones wishes but for now i'll leave it at that.
Written by Neo Fruity Loops on 2007/02/15

You guys dont know anything.

GTHD runs at 1080p.. you dont need AA at that resolution unless you sit close enough to see the individual pixels. If you output at 480p or 720p then the AA occurs in the downsampling process.

Forza is inbetween GTHD and Ridge Racer.. not acradey, but, not to the level of GTHD even in its current demo form.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

^again proof that people speak without knowing what their talking about.
Written by Neo Fruity Loops on 2007/02/15

Sure thing K.. what ever you say
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

ignorance must be bliss in your world. i see nothing of what you state as anything more then YOUR opinion. so go on and live in neverland, i prefer reality
Written by MAKAVELI on 2007/02/15

@@@ neo Fruty loops

lollll , stop i cant stop laughting.....unbisead professor version ps3?
Written by Neo Fruity Loops on 2007/02/15

Oooh, nice comeback. Why dont you further explain your theory then? Go for it, buddy.
Written by MAKAVELI on 2007/02/15

sory in your case is bisead.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

explain my "theory"? what theory? i'll explain what i could.

not that it would make any difference to you, i would probably just be wasting my time.
Written by MAKAVELI on 2007/02/15

Please kenny dont do it , otherwise you would make him look even more pathetic than he his.

lolll.......Sony zombies are so funny.
Written by Eamo on 2007/02/15

well in fairness your rigbht Kenny K, no-one can really compare forza with GTHD because GT is in demo form, i was only pointing out against the first comment that GTHD doesnt live up to forza in its current state, and pointing out that it lacks any anti-aliasing from any screenshots that i have seen... then again this is just my opinion
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

i understand eamo, and none of my commments were directed towards you.

i have no problem what-so-ever with opinions, their like assholes we all have them. however some here like to preach their opinion like it's fact. it's these same people who have the least bit of an idea behind anything of game development. ironic really
Written by Eamo on 2007/02/15

True, I've noticed that over the last couple of weeks.. same people over and over, not mentioning any names of course, I like to keep my mouth shut
Written by sicbud on 2007/02/15

Looks good! Can't wait to play it! And I also can't wait to see what the dumbass professor has to say. I'm sure he'll compare it to some game on ps3 and say how shitty the ps3 is..

where are you prof.?
Written by purbeast on 2007/02/15

wow those pics look absolutely horrible. it looks like they went a step back in graphics compared the the previous pics I had seen.
Written by LiK on 2007/02/15

screens aren't the only thing, it needs to look good in motion so let's wait and see, dudes
Written by Eamo on 2007/02/15

Gameplay has to be good too.. i wonder what the multi-player is gonna be like on it
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/15

as for multiplayer, the one thing that always pisses me off online is when people will wall rape you just to pass you. that didnt happen in forza and i LOVED it. people were very careful to respect your space because if they didnt there was a good chance that they would ruin their car too. i dont think i ever had so much with an online racer.
Written by Eamo on 2007/02/15

Damn about time, I hate that in PGR3, people roaring their heads off if you accidentally cut them off, in order to take a corner more cleanly. I might pick up forza 1 this weekend and give it a go online
Written by Sky on 2007/02/15

@ kenny k

why cant you compare these screens shots to GTHD? most of the pictures shown here are only of 1 car .. i dont see a bunch of cars on screen... 2 at most

for a game that was SUPPOSE to come out Q4 2006 im not impressed with these screenshots....

anyone who has played GTHD on seen the hi def trailers on gamtrailers.com.. knows GTHD shits all over this..
Written by blah on 2007/02/15

this game looks good, but still doesnt have a wow factor. im sure Forza 2 can look a lot better than this, and hopefully it will.

GTHD indeed looks amazing, but thats only a demo with one level that only has one car on the track. Of course it looks better than a racing game like Forza 2 because of the amount of cars and the level detail thats been added to Forza 2 causes the developers to lower the amount of detail on each car and level to avoid performance issues. If you've seen the demo that was at X06 of this game, it looked as good as GTHD..while it had one car on the track. Now you can see a bit of a downgrade due to the extra things that were added like more cars and damage. Expect that to happen with GT5, unless Polyphony can pull off something godly and i wouldnt be surprised if they do cause they are really good at what they do.

Plus, according to the devs, this game is expected to go at a solid 60fps with no hiccups. So right now im pretty sure they will add as much detail as possible to all cars until they start hitting performance issues..cause right now Forza 2 looks comparable to most racers that are out for the 360 right now.

And this game shouldnt be comparable to them, it should blow them out of the water just like Forza 1 8)
Written by arthur56k on 2007/02/16

errr, blah, the thing is the best looking game on the 360 to date in racing terms, i expect PGR4 to look better, but the game looks impressive, i definately want to play it.

at sky, if you dont know what youre talking about, please spare us, gt hd has like no anti alising, no damage, and the list goes on, and as far as i can tell, those cars look damn near photo realistic, lets wait and see what PD can come up with
Written by arthur56k on 2007/02/16

and the environments are damn crazy, on playstation fanboys dont find it that great, ill play both titles God willing
Written by Nemesis IX on 2007/02/16

very nice indeed it makes every other racing game look average, i'll enjoy this.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/16

@ sky, easy because you are comparing a tech demo to a final game, if you knew ANYTHING of what goes on in the background of a game then you would understand. i know however that you do not so enjoy your OPINION. also what does the original release date have ANYTHING to do with how it looks? as a ps3 fan, you really have NO room to talk about delayed games.
Written by Tecno_Geek on 2007/02/16

Forza 2 v.s GT5.....a great batle.

I dont realy about modeling damage , since it takes the precious framerates that are important for the sense of speed of the game, polyphony made a right decision,,,

FRAMERATES OVER DAMAGING...gt wins.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/16

AGAIN, another GREAT example of people talking about crap that THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! WHY?? seriously, i want to know, why do you people insist on talking about something you know nothing about? thats like me talking to a brain surgeon about brain surgery, i would look like a total ass!

tecno_geek, read and learn. damage modeling has nothing to do with the frame rate if you can achieve both. Forza has achieved both, it will be 60fps (just like GT5) and it will have damage modoling (unlike GT5). so what the fuck are you even talking about?

adding damage modeling does consume processing cycles, but it's not as simple as that. this consumption makes it harder to hit the 60fps, but obviously it's not impossible. the damage modeling actually more of an impact on the actual car models more then the frame rate. optimization is what determines the frame rate not the inclusion of damage modeling. STOP talking about matters you know nothing of
Written by Tecno_Geek on 2007/02/16

you sir are an idiot.

how the hell you know that there will be no modeling damage on gt5?

modeling damage affects the performance of the games , takes cpu power that could be used to give a boost in frame rates.

One more time you demostrated the ass and the ms loyal zombie that you are. idiot.
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/16

its true, we dont know if GT5 will have damage modeling, but that doesnt change anything of what i said.

i havent shown any loyalty in any way, so how am i an idiot? especially when you consider that you just reworded what i typed.

yes damage modeling does consume CPU cycles, however when both games run at 60fps, then there should be NO frame rate comparisons. games wont go over 60fps for a good reason (i'll let you try to figure out why) so there is no point in saving CPU cycles to "give a boost in frame rates" if 60fps is achieved with damage modeling.

and you call me an idiot, sad really

ignorance must be bliss for many here, i try to help and you just choose to ignore anything i say and just label me a "zombie" when i didnt bash GT5 at all but instead just stated the facts.

how about you prove how much you know (a joke i know) and actually post some informative info instead of bashing others?
Written by Tecno_Geek on 2007/02/16

funny how idiots have a big imagination!!!!!!!
Written by Kenny K on 2007/02/16

so then tell me genious, how is my comment a part of my imagination? unless you can tell me how i am wrong how about we just agree and leave it that?

you DO realize that i am NOT bashing either game at all right? all i try to do is keep the order, truth, facts, and honesty among us gamers and topics.
Written by arthur56k on 2007/02/18

if gt hd wasn't a demo, and had damage, more cars on track, then this would make a great argument, but since it has neither, and the environments aren't what they should be, no anti aliasing and a whole load of other things, that would make the argument really skewed to forza's direction. i started playing simulators from GT 2, unlike some who talk and do little research
Written by arthur56k on 2007/02/18

tecno, GT was a simulator, don't mean to dis the game, but a simulator with no damage and very little realism, dude, how can a car travel at 150 miles per hour on 2 wheels without overturning for 50-60 meters, no flippable cars etc i could go on and on, but why else do you think that many in the gaming community consider forza to be king of racing simulators
