	nVidia VP of content business development, Roy Taylor, has stated that he believes that home game consoles is going to kill the PC-exclusive game market in the near future. Now, we know this contradicts the title of the post, but he goes on to say this: "That said, PC gaming is changing - and consoles don't threaten PC gaming. They're just different. Adapting to that and understanding that is what I think is really, really important. It seems Roy is a bit all over the place. He goes on to say that most PC gamers also own consoles, and that most developers are also coding for PC, as well as Xbox360 and PS3. He claims that since the baseline for most games are now consoles, when the PC editions of games come out, they usually have tweaks and additions that the console versions lack. Makes sense to us, but how much longer the three platforms will stay distinct is anyone's guess. >Link

Console can never beat PC,

PC always upgrade every 6 month...

Wait till Duke Nukem comes out...

That's exactly why consoles will beat PCs.

With rising gas, food and housing costs, no one is going to want to spend the money to upgrade PCs every 4-6 months. With consoles, there's not really any upgrading to do, so people can take the money used for that and focus on the games instead.

The boss of nVidia doesn't have much room to talk considering the numerous problems with the 700 series chipset. Just built a 750i + 8800GT system and I can't even watch a video without the system locking up ( Google 700 series video corruption if you're curious ).

I can watch all the videos I want on my 360 and PS3.

Hardcore PC gaming is dead to me. But casual is still alive.

To be hardcore in terms of PC gaming you need to spend a lot more than a console owner. People will naturally go for the cheaper option and that's why PC gaming is going down. But at least the games are cheaper on PC.

Supreme, the thing is, there are too many hardcore gamers gets borred with graphic, another name for them "graphic whore"

This is why every console been famous for begining of two year or three year cycle, and as soon as PC catches up which they do all the time, gamers always end up going back to PC,

I'm a FPS fantics, and Once I see PC gets a whole new engine with AI, for me console is a secondary, at this moment, no PC

is still behind, till then well see...

What happen when PS2 and Xbox came out, it was famous for two years, but then PC was the main focus for video games by having so many FPS games to Strategy games, and now that PS3 and Xbox 360 is out again,

PC is behind, but wait till next year !
