The PS3 "Cagney" Burnout Paradise update is released, but it seems the Xbox360 version is still having delay issues. According to an update posted today by Criterion, the earliest we can expect the new download is August 4th. Supposedly the update is packed with new stuff. Let's hope they make the date.

dudeman:

40% of the "delays" you listed were Downloadable Content for games that were ALREADY AVAILABLE. "Delays" like that can be considered "minor" problems.

There already are Splinter Cell games available for the Xbox 360...so the "Delay" of ANOTHER one can't be considered bad.

Alan Wake never had an "Official" release date, so it technically can't be considered "delayed," because it only had an estimated release date. Thankfully, the Xbox 360 is BY FAR the strongest platform for RPG games of all kinds, so there are plenty of other RPG games for us to play while we wait for Alan Wake.

Too Human was delayed for a short time, but it didn't matter, because the Xbox 360 gamers had so many other Game of the Year shooters to play while waiting, since Xbox 360 is BY FAR the strongest platform for 1st person, 3rd person, and hybrid shooters!

When the Playstation 3 has ACTUAL GAMES get delayed, in genres where there are so few other games, it is TERRIBLE.

And when the Playstation 3 has ACTUAL GAMES get cancelled in genres where there are ZERO games available, it is THE WORST SCENARIO POSSIBLE!

For example, when Red Alert was CANCELLED for the Playstation 3, it reminded people that the nearly two-year old Playstation 3 has ZERO games available in the Real-Time Strategy genre.

TOO HUMAN and Splinter Cell are actual games. As far as splinter cell goes who cares if it was a sequel. These were touted as 360 exclusives and were DELAYED again and again.

Alan Wake is considered delayed because xbots have been looking forward to this forever yet due to all sort of technical difficulties with the architecture of the 360 the development has suffered delay after delay.

As far as DLC goes it's the same thing. A Delay is a Delay is a Delay. GTAIV DLC was touted as THE ONLY reason to buy the 360 version over the ps3 version that was clearly graphically superior, yet they keep delaying it due to technical issues.

You've gotta love the Spin. If a game is delayed for the 360 and it is a Sequel, It is not a delay. If a game is delayed for the 360 for a "short time", it is not a delay. If DLC is delayed, it is due to a "MINOR" issue and therefore not a delay.

Way to represent the XDF!!
