According to Shacknews, Nintendo may be exploring a holographic storage solution for its Wii storage woes. it sounds a bit far-fetched to us, but a patent filed recently by the big N seems to depict a sort of holographic storage device. The patent was jointly filed by Inphase Technologies, and mentions "miniature flexure based scanners for angle multiplexing." The document was filed in March 2007, and was issued in February 2008. As we said, rumor mill.
