Sniper Scope looked tight.

Ok, that looks awesome.

VaeVictus: I have to admit this game has some eye candy. Now to see if it can deliver on some serious gameplay.

From the time they announced this game to the time they supposedly will release this game next year we could be looking at a 4 year time span. Plus the rumored 40 million budget.

This game has some huge expectations to live up to. As much as I am pro 360. I wan't this game to kick a$$.

There is no way in hell multiplayer will be like that. People talking and 'working together'??? No way. To play online like that you need to be in a clan match. Or (You have been shot several times, cut with a samurai sword and been pushed out of a tall church window and survived) lucky.

^^^ The graphics look great, but i get the feeling that their trying to cover up shaky online gameplay with intense videos. It's so obvious that they had people communicating like this because they wanted to make the multiplayer look incredible. I have my fingers crossed that the multiplayer turns out great, so Killzone 2 doesn't end up on the already long list of PS3 rentals.. I already think the turrets are lame and i have to disagree with pimpdaddy and say that the sniper scope looked way to small and dated.

jb33, I agree with you, because Multiplayer always look good no matter what game you talk about....

Single Player is hardest part of the whole game, It's so hard, you have to becareful what you show, that's where Far Cry 2 wins !

Look I'm not a PS3 fan, that's where you guys are confuse, and I'm not a Xbox Hater, I am definitley a FPS hardcore Fan Boy ! I mean i get so stress I wish FPS was real life :P

But Point is, Resistance and Far Cry is gonna win the race,

Killzone 2 will win dynamic and maybe graphic and so on, But I doubt it's going to win in overall, i've seen the videos so many times and I hate to tell you guys, as a Hardcore FPS, it's very disappointing that the AI is garbage !

Nothing new, and at some point if you focus little hard, some of them are just too slow,

I dont know if its too realistic, that it's slow, or I dont know if its too much power for PS3 to handle...

holy fucken shit that sniper gun was fucken sweet!!!! jb33 i can see how you may not like the sniper, it does seem kinda small, but in reality, how well do you see through sniper scope. i sure hell dont know, but the sniper gun shown was an enemy sniper gun, or alien. you see how a green target was displayed on everyones head/body within view? the small scope could be that drawback from an already overpowered gun.

killzone was actually quite fun multiplayer wise. i hated how i can only play by myself online. but with a friend, it can be me and him against 8 bots! made it more challenging. solo mode was nothing special but a faily good story i gues...

With the $$ and resources Sony is throwing at this game, there is no way it won't be solid. Great? Maybe, maybe not, we'll have to see. It will not be a bad game by any stretch. It won't revolutionize anything.

I still have to give this an average review, the graphics are good not gears or Crysis but decent. The Art Direction is not there at all talk about bland. even the texture patterns are plane. Kinda reminds me of Comdemned for some reason. All i can think of if this is meant to be showing off there best of multiplayer than its not very good, Resistance 2 is far more impressive.

You guys comments are in direct contradiction to what the game industry types are saying. That's fine, I know the motivation behind it.

Putting Gears in the same league as Crysis is laughable. Gears is a great looking game, no better or worse looking that Killzone 2.

Crysis far exceeds both titles in terms of visuals.

I won't read the fanboy comments in here I'm sure, though I agree with victus above me.

I'll say the game looks great, just wish they left out the talking, they almost sound like the douche bags that annoy me when playing online.

Also I'm happy to see they fixed the sniper rifle scope from Killzone 1, that was horrible

Kenny, I think they were trying to "encourage" and "promote" the tactical aspect of the game. If you play online multiplayer games on the PSN, you'll notice immediately that it much more quiet than XBL.(sometimes a good thing, sometimes a bad thing) I think SOny may be trying to focus on community more in the coming months b/c one of the great complaints about the PSN is that it isn't as community friendly as XBL due to lack of mics packaged w/ PS3's as well as a few other community building aspects of XBL.

For the most part the chatter was fine, there were just some stupid lines in there is all. Doesn't matter, it seems that every popular online game on any console will gather it's share of idiots.

i didn't mean gears is as good as crysis i meant its not as good as gears definataly not even near to Crysis.

if the tactical side of is introduces properly it could be great, its one thing that is still lacking in multiplayer games besides the constand deathmatch kills. GRAW is still the leading title for tactical play for me.

Nemesis, I am not sure what you are basing the visuals comparisons on. I find that KZ2 is one of the strongest looking games on consoles and it certainly holds up to Gears in quality. (I love Gears by the way and can't wait until 2 hits, ask Kenny K) You speak as if KZ2 is barely PS2 quality. It is in the upper echelon as far as looks are concerned. Every major outlet that's covered this game concurs. (Note: I am in no way saying this game will be better or worse than Gears or Crysis)

VaeVictus: I think Nemesis is comparing art direction. I mean I look at Gears and think it's way better than Uncharted. But some of the PS3 owners on here swear Uncharted and MGS4 looks better than Gears. To each his own I say.

All I know is for console games that Gears is the first and only game to make me say DAYUM this generation. But Killzone 2 may just be in that same category from the footage I have seen on various websites.

i meant in the actual graphics resolution and clarity, oh and i've being meaning gears 2 all this time not the first, probaly should of said that. KZ2 is up there its just disappionting because i don't want another visually bland game as gears and KZ2 is doing that. i'm playing Eternal Sontata at the moment and its art direction is amazing i mean why can't a FPS have design like that and its colour palet.

Gears 2 looks very similar to Gears 1 for me, and that's a good thing as I thought Gears 1 looked awesome.

Pimp, Uncharted does look awesome.

MGS4 has some really strong graphics at points, and then some so so textures throw off the overall terrific look of the game in other parts. I have never been so confused by the graphics/textures in a game in my life. Game still looks great.

My biggest complaint about Gears is that I can see the seams of characters and buildings. (If that makes sense) It really isn't much of a complain overall. I do notice some improvements over Gears 1 in some areas (especially the gore) but it looks strong as usual.

@VaeVictus...Here we go with this sh!t again. I'm skeptical about the online aspect of this ridiculously hyped game, so all of a sudden i'm a fanboy again...GTFO ? Must i remind you that the first Killzone sucked fas a$$ donkey ballz ? I think my worries about certain aspects of this game being great are warranted by the first games quality.

Too Human had alot of money/time and resources put into it and look where it's at right now....LOL. The motivation behind my comments is that i see the multiplayer as being very average and it takes more than a great single player campaign(assuming the campaign's great)to make a game great now a days. You really need to lose the Sony shades and realize that the multiplayer doesn't look that great and that Sony is once again overly hyping/selling this game.

I agree with Nemesis IX in that Resistance 2 looks far better than Killzone 2 in the multiplayer department. I'm not talking graphics either...I'm talking "FUN FACTOR" the most important part of gaming. Oh...I'm supposed to believe the industry though ? The same industry that told me MGO was great...ROFL ? In no way is that a knock on Uncharted. It's just that the Gears had that extra something that caught my eye. I'm going to rent Uncharted and MGS4 next weekend though just to compare. See if I am misunderstanding where some of you guys are coming from.

Why wasn't i a fanboy when i said i thought Gears Of War was garbage ? Why wasn't i a fanboy when i said Too Human was broken and deserves no more than a 7/10 ? I want Killzone 2 to have amazing mutiplayer and be a Halo/Gears killer, but i don't see it happening. I love my PS3 and can't wait to play all the exclusives coming out for it. LBP/Resistance 2/Killzone 2/Motorstorm 2/ Socom Confrontation...All of these games have the potential to be great and i hope all of them are.

By no means am i undeniably loyal to a certain corporation in the video game business. I side with the console that has better games/features just like most people do, so i'm NOT a true fanboy like yourself.

yeah there are alot of obvious seams in gears not as muc as some other games, the reason for the character seams is they're all made up of multiple mesh's seperate arms, legs and so on so they can have higher res textures but of course you get seams, still for gears i don't remember seeing any seams on the characters, i did see some streched textures though.

jb33, to avoid being called an fanboy I said that I am not saying it's going to be great. I personally expect it to be great, but I could be wrong. I really don't know how you decipher from that video that the mp will be subpar. I saw it and was excited, but not to the point that I was going to come out and say, "greatest mp of all time". I just thought it looked awesome.

Elaborate on why you "don't think KZ2 won't be awesome. I'm waiting to actually touch the product...much like I did with Too Human. I heard the bad previews, but I wanted to see for myself.

Amen guys. I wan't to see how Killzone 2 turns out too. I'm not quite hyped for it yet. But it's definetly on my radar. All ill feelings towards Sony aside, if this game comes within a sniff of achieving the hype it has generated in the past 3 years then this game will be a success.

A videogame community is made up by it's members. I see a lot of names participating a lot more now than they did when Krogan was monopolizing every article. Last time I was visiting daily, the conversation was seriously lacking, and that was because of one individual. So can you blame me when I come back and notice things have gotten better and there's not a single comment from you know who?

But seriously, what changed? Usually I'd expect to see a two page Krogan copy/paste on any pro PS3 article...

But regardless you should stick around. We are starting to play games together every weekend. The past 2 weekends were WarHawk on the PS3 and this weekend coming up is for the 360.

I wan't to get us alternating weekends between the 360 and PS3. Were trying to build up the community aspect of the videogame website.

There are still occasional flaming wars. Some fanboys here and there. But for the most part it's cool.
