Sony Upset With PSP Third Party Support >
2008/09/12 19:29:03: Posted by DM
Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida says he is disappointed with the third party support for the Sony PSP. The first party lineup is strong, as per usual with the Sony consoles, but he is very concerned about the opportunities that third parties are missing on the handheld. Despite this though, Yoshida promises many more games for the Sony PSP in the near future. Good to hear.

He complains about the 3rd party support but the 3rd party complains about the lack of direction.

It's a great console, and it's picking up respective sales, but the software isn't really selling, so something is off here.

one word: homebrew

Isn't that modding the psp so you can play pirated games?

Written by daveydz3 on 2008/09/13

yeah, not sure if its through hardware mods or hacking the psp through software and messing with the firmware

Well I'm sorry but I don't support that either.

Homebrew is not about playing pirated software, its about developing software of your own. Almost all homebrew communities are actively against piracy.

yeah i wasn't saying it was just for playing pirated software (even though a lot of people do use it for that) I was just saying that if you're gonna have free games to play on your psp, most will do that then buy the UMDs NES, SNES, etc.

and fyi I don't own a psp I just know that it all can be achieved

edit= add emulators after NES, SNES
