Large Hadron Collider Named 'Halo' By Public > |
2008/09/17 15:25:01: Posted by DM | |
Well, if this is not an ominous sign, we do not know what is. The public has decided on the name "Halo" for the new Cern LHC. The Large Hadron Collider does what the name says, and rams the subatomic particles into each other at super high energies (speeds) in order to break apart into even smaller particles, hopefully that is, and teach us more. It has begun operation despite controversy over the most miniscule of chances that it could destroy the universe, and since the name was not so catchy, a competition was held to give the thing a nickname. "Halo" won. Of course, we do not think the scientists have any idea of the video-game-related significance, but it is certainly interesting, nonetheless.

Get your shotguns ready for the flood. Oh noes!I have 6 shotties, a .22, and my trust .357 sidearm. I'm ready to rock and roll. Bring on the flood, or zombies, I don't care.
