	Sony has stated they they are still researching why the Little Big Planet servers are not performing 100%. The game has been patched to version 1.03, but it seems that the game is still experiencing intermittent issues. The single player game is not being affected, of course, but the online experience, which is a big part of LBP, is the main problem. Now though, it seems the problems may be coming to an end, so let's hope so. "We are aware that the online environment of LittleBigPlanet is having server performance issues, and we are investigating the cause," Sony told Eurogamer this morning. "We'll have an update to the online gameplay as soon as we possibly can." >Link

I was on all night last night and there were frequent problems with lag. I hope they can resolve it soon. There is so much user created content out already that this game EASILY has paid for itself, especially once the servers are running smoothly. I played a large number of user created levels and about 50% of them were solid efforts. The rest are cheap ways to gain trophies, so I vote them down so that no one else will want to play them. The online setup of this game is superb.

I get messages everytime someone completes my created map, what they felt about it, etc etc. Anything my friends are doing in the game I get pop ups for. It's really cool

Am I the only one having troubles with freezing while playing offline? Every so often it will totally freeze up for 30-60seconds.

Why not ask your ps3 lovin buddies, they display the same kind of behavior. A bunch of "gamers" with nothing but tunnel vision is all I see.

Xenos: Maybe he thinks it sucks. That's his opinion. I just thought it was funny reading that because this website has been overflowing with nothing but pure NuttHugging of LBP for the past week... :)

VaeVictus: How exactly does someone fail at life for thinking this game sucks? I haven't played it so I haven't formed my own opinion yet... But now I'm worried if I don't like that game that I may have to take my own life because I will be a failure :(

Pimp: If he truly thinks it sucks then he doesn't know the meaning of the word. I can understand and accept if this or any game doesn't pique someone's interest, but to say it "sucks" with nothing to support is not only ignorant, but also an insult to the developers and their work IMO.

I agree that this site has been exploding with nutthugging for LBP, but do you honestly expect anything less from the sony fanboys? To them, EVERY sony release is the next best thing and there is no point in even discussing anything with them for fear in getting caught up in the circle jerk. Personally I would consider the never ending advertising of a game or constant mention of the game (even in threads unrelated to it) as a sign of some insecurity over the game itself, whether it's directed towards it's popularity, sales, or impact.

Of course I don't expect them to see it that way, but I would be embarrassed if I felt the need to constantly remind people what game I'm playing or what game I THINK is GoTY.

Whatever helps them sleep at night I guess.

To be fair he does have a say in this. Sorry but I don't see a difference between someone saying LBP sucks when it doesn't interest them to someone saying Viva Pinata sucks since it doesn't interest them.

Both are ignorant statements that mistake one's own ignorant opinion with fact. The difference here is that these sony fanboys are probably just making themselves look like hypocrites by defending one while probably bashing the other of the 2 games I mentioned.

I've been just sitting back and watching quite a few members make themselves unknowingly look like jackasses by picking and choosing what to bitch about and what to defend.

Fanboys are one of the few people in the world to make me laugh but also facepalm myself at the same time.

Well I'm not much into platformers so LBP is definetly not my GOTY no matter what console it's on.

I'm gonna miss you guys for Gears2 co-op next week so I'm not to happy with Microsoft right now.

Had some cute chick on VGChartz ask if I wanted to play games online with the Wii. Maybe it's time to get my MarioKart or SuperSmashBros on.

I will let you guys know when I get my 360 back from it's RROD grave :p We need to play some games.

No freezing here. Not a once. Are you signed into PSN? If so, try signing yourself out. I heard that the server issues they were working on could have an impact on single player performance if you were signed into PSN because it communicates with the servers for ranking and friend info.

A lot of people care. Mainly people with PS3s who either already have this game, or are thinking of picking it up. You're entitled to think it sucks, but with a 95% Metacritic score, your opinion does not reflect reality.

I'm not usually into platformers, but I'm really enjoying LBP, and more importantly, so is my wife, who usually avoids videogames like the plague. I think I may have finally found a game we can play together. *fingers crossed*

For a game that's so great, and I don't doubt it is, you guys are easily defensive over it. Again whatever helps to ease your insecurities and allows you to sleep at night.

What are you talking about? The only opinion I shared in this topic was that LBP was a good game and it doesn't suck if it doesn't interest you. I never even said anything about Chris' comment, you're thinking of evilblackranger.

Sorry, I meant evilblackranger, not xCHRISx. I just don't understand why you have to slag my opinion when I was essentially saying the same thing you were. But because you've labelled me a fanboy, my opinion doesn't matter and is open to ridicule. Yeah, so I referred to a metacritic score. Are all metacritic scores worthless? Even when they're really high? I disagree with you there, because when a metacritic score is really high, it generally indicates the game is getting widespread acclaim. I could understand you slagging me if I referred to a review score from one site only, but c'mon, do you really think that any game that is generally seen as sucking would get a score in the mid 90's? This goes for any game, regardless of what platform it's on.

Oh, and yes, you were bashing my comment and me.

I think reviews or metacritic scores are ok to use to (maybe) form an idea or expectation from a game, but seeing as how 80% of any given review is merely an opinion, I don't tend to regard them as fact or reality.

If you truly hold your opinions of reviews over all games, regardless of platform, then I can see where your intentions were. I just can't stand this reliance on metacritic scores by companies like Sony and MS and the fanboys they spawn.

As for me bashing you, nah, I was just stating to how an average of opinions is hardly "reality". Me calling you a fanboy shouldn't surprise you with some of the comments you twist around.

Maybe you don't see the error in your ways, and so I'll try to keep that in mind in the future.

If I say a game sucks, I can usually support why I think such a thing.

All I did was say that LBP doesn't such, metacritic scores are useless, and that fanboys shouldn't use them.

All I was doing was having fun at some people's expense, nothing really that melicious (sp?), but I stopped. Just trying to prove a point is all.

ok when i picked up LBP i thought it was gonna be cool, but after an hour of playing it it got me bored really easy and now i cant even play the game. i just didnt like how the game was, how things were in the game. so to me it sucked
