	According to Businessweek, the Playstation 3 hardware has come down in price, component wise, since 2006. So much so, that the hardware might be almost at break-even pricing for Sony, which is good news for 2009. Sony being a hardware company I don't see this much as a surprise

That should help Sony in 2009 along with an awesome lineup. Not saying MS doesn't have a great lineup as well...i'm just saying.

Also smart design with hardware has more to do with cost efficiency than being a hardware company. Nintendo is only a game company and all of their systems have been protifable from day one while keeping up with the standard before the Wii's release.

Still good to read this though since I hope we'll finally see another price cut from Sony.

They really need to re-design the look of the PS3, it looks hideous sitting beside the Xbox 360 and Wii. I'd probably buy one for $300.

MS will have a great lineup next year. I really would like to see some exclusive games that push story telling a bit further like Alan Wake.. I wont more cinemtic experiences.. I also want to see MS team up with more developers with alot of talent like MM and Quantic Dream

@ sky, They have been working with independent studios this gen, just for people like you to spew out FUD to how they need more internal studios instead of buying exclusives from 3rd party studios. What Sony is doing with MM and QD is no different than what MS is doing with Epic or Bioware.

I believe outside of RARE Ms first is spread very thin Especially when you look at what Sony and MS have.. Sony has Team Ico, PD the GT devs, Naughty Dog, Zipper Interactive, And Santa Monica just to name a few. there best studio RARE does not compare to anyone of those. and I don't think anyone would disagree with me

So if I like a bunch of studios including a lot of Sony's because they actually make good games, thats blind love? what kind of logic are you using?

My logic goes by the thought that if YOU like any studio that does not make said studio "better" than the others. It's a matter of preference and opinion, both realities that you choose to ignore. Outside of Goldeneye, Conkers, Battletoads, and Perfect Dark, RARE's other games never really appealed to me but I would never mistake personal perference for quality.

Don't worry Sky, I don't blaim you. A meathead such as yourself has been trained to NOT have a mind of their own. You have been built to believe what you're told and Sony takes full advantage of that. They tell you that they have the best studios and you believe, they tell you that no one can match their tech and you believe them, they also tell you where to suck and you open your mouth willingly.

It's not your fault though, there are plenty of tools in the world, so you do have a place in this world.

I am not blind. I know MS has quite a few first party studio's but rare is the only real notable one and there performance this generation has been lack luster when you compare them to Nintendo and Sony's first party studios

turn 10 have been able to do things polyphony havent dreamt of doing in ages, like damage, better A.I, better physics.

lionhead have delivered one of the best gaming RPGs with the fable series, and while team ICO is a developer of repute, how many next gen games have they delivered?

as for halo 3, it is a MS first party title, and will continue to be that until the end of the age. nothing can change that

He questions how I can judge HOME when I didn't see it for myself, well how can he bash studios when he doesn't know shit about them? Just look at his last post and how ass backwards it is. He bashes turn 10, lionhead, and bungie with false FUD and then asks how many games have they released this gen. But did he even think to sit back and think about how many games Sony's first party studios has released this gen? If Sony's studios are so ahead of the game, then why is it taking 4 or 5 years to release a damn game?

I'm not here to bash any studio, but to compare any two studios at face value without taking things into consideration is both ignorant and stupid. It's not until you find out the details with each studio that you can really put things into perspective.

also one thing I wanted to clear out, Bungie isn't 1st party, MS has first refusel rights to all of their titles, but other than that they are kinda like a 2nd party.
