Fire has released the packshot and official details for what they call the PS2 HDTV Game Player. Apparently, this package allows PS2 users to play any PS2 game in full HDTV resolution. How this can possibly work is anyone's guess, but we suspect the mechanics are similar to how the Xbox360 displays Xbox games in HDTV resolution. One thing to note, the Xploder VGA cable is required. Remember that creepy game we told you about a while back called Rule Of Rose? The one with the crazy trailer with the underage sex undertones? Well now Sony has refused to publish it in America. Does this mean the game will not see a US release? We are not sure, we hear that Atlus has taken over publishing, but we cannot confirm it at this time. IGN got the chance to test out the new online version of Gran Turismo 4. They seem pretty taken with the game, but then again it is just GT4 with an extra menu choice. Check it out.
