More info is emrging from that leaked marketing info that Eurogamer got this morning. It seems that Sony is planning on releasing God Of War 2 on the Playstation 2 not PS3 next February. Players will take control of Kraytos yet again, with his swinging chain blades of doom. Rumor for now as well, but Eurogamer is pretty reliable.*Update: It seems that now all stories that stemmed from the leaked info have been replaced with "The information that previously appeared here has been removed under the threat of legal action from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe." Admission of truth?

According to Eurogamers, an online capable version of Gran Tourismo 4 for the PS2 is due out in Q2 2006. They claim the info was leaked to them with a bundle of marketing documentation, and Sony has yet to comment on it. The game will include 700 real cars, 50 real tracks, and split-screen options in addition to six-player online racing. The game will also feature voice communication support to chat with other drivers as well as other customizable online competitions. We have some new Final Fantasy XII scans for you this morning. Not only that but one of the images is a scan of the world map that is included with the game (at least in Japan). The game still looks like the best FF game in a while. Click on the news title for the images.

Gamespot took Grandia III for the PS2 out for a spin. It ended up with a respectable 7.6 on the review meter. The major downfall of the game? It is very short with no crazy or interesting sidequests to speak of. The innovative battle system is a plus though.

Phantasy Star Universe which was recently pushed back to Fall 2006, has now been changed back to "sometime in 2006." According to Sega this was for the usual reasons, improve the game quality, online issues, etc. Now we would not be surprised if this game sees release in 2007, and for a Playstation 2 online game, that pretty much means it will get lost in the shuffle.

According to a recent edition of Game Informer Magazine, Sega has decided to bring its Shenmue-esque action adventure Ryu Ga Gotoku to the US. The game will be redubbed "Yakuza," and will see release later in 2006. This should hold you fanatical Shenmue fans over till Shenmue 3, oh wait there won't be a Shenmue 3....

By the same people who brought you Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, Air Tonelico, just recently released in Japan, is now set for a US release. An "old school" Japanese RPG, it features mainly airships, floating cities, babel-esque towers, and sword weilding heroes. The wonderful anime-style characters are there too. More when we have it.
