Crysis: Warhead Was Originally Just Plain Expansion > |

With Crysis: Warhead's release imminent, Crytek producer Bernd Diemer spoke with Gamasture, and revealed that the sequel started out as a plain old expansion. The initial reaction of developers is always, "let's do an expansion," he said, and it was slated to be a lot shorter. After they took a hard look at all the additions that were planned, the Crysis team realized it was much more suited to a full sequel, so was born Crysis: Warhead."We then decided to develop a longer campaign -- a full single-player campaign -- but we kept the $29.99 price point, which leans more towards the expansion pack."
