	According to Sony, gamers who own more than one next-gen console, put the Playstation 3 in the center of their living room. Specifically, this is according to the Sony marketing team, who then coined the phrase, "Microsoft owns the office; Sony owns the living room; and Wii owns the closet." No mention of the PC, by the way. Fairly harsh words for the console that is outselling all the others. We think it is time for Sony to look up from the marketing research and focus group reports, and start talking to real gamers. >Link

Sony do make me laugh with their claimes/comments sometimes.

Wow, bold words from the group thats LAST PLACE! I honestly don't know what's Sony's beef latley...

I think they mean the Sony brand owns the living room, which is true, but not a fair statement.

They used to own the living room, when there TVs and DVD players were best you could buy... not anymore though.

technical they do own the living room, my tv,surround system,dvd player and my ps3/blueray player is what i hav in my living room! i have a Wii home i think!!

even if i'm not using my ps3 to play games i use it for many other stuff, its always on!!!

Lol good job Sony? maybe so a good few years ago, definitly not now. Considering Toshiba and other brands produce better if not cheaper TVs/sound systems etc than sony they are quickly taking over the "living room".

Maybe if people ignored these dumb statements they'd stop making them?

Or, maybe if people took them with a grain of salt (whoever the company is) we could move forward. He's a PR guy, it's what they do.

I will once again offer my services to Sony, MS or Nintendo as their offical PR rep in the U.S. I'll do a much better job.

I never really pay attention to PR guys much either and while I know that this is what PR guys do, it could be done better.

Highlight your current strengths instead of acting like some internet troll.

but still most of it is bull. ok hoestly when i'm around in friends, family wherever i see Wii's everywhere but not many PS3's, funny as well he mentions Sony and MS as companyies but the Wii is a brand, whats Nintendo then?

That's funny, I've worked at this office for around 4 years now and not once have I seen anyone play a 360 here.

The context of the discussion at hand was about gaming, and in this regard, Sony isn't owning anything.

There is rarely truth in what PR say, they are there to spin the position of their department/company into a positive.
