The Party Games mode is where up to 4 players can play games on the tennis court that pretty much have nothing to do with tennis. You can play games where the tennis ball is a bomb that explodes after a certain amount of time, a breakout-esque mode, and a mode where you use the tennis ball to paint your opponents court. That’s it though, only three party games. They certainly could have come up with a few more, maybe they will with a patch.

The options mode has only the basic options, audio volumes and speed unit toggles. No control configuration, but that does not matter much in this game since there is not much to the controls.

The Xbox Live mode is, unfortunately, pretty slim. You can play either a single or doubles match in ranked or player mode. That’s pretty much it folks. No party games online which was a real disappointment. You can check your online stats as well, but that does not help you forget the paltry amount of online play modes. The actual online play is fine, there was no real lag issues we experienced and finding a match was never a problem.

This game is exactly what you would expect it to be. The game is Topspin through and through. The game play is just as good as the first incarnation on Xbox, and the Xbox360 additions this time around certainly make the game better. Unfortunately, the utter lack of online play modes and party game modes really leave you wanting.
