'PC Gaming Alliance' Being Formed By MS, AMD, nVidia, More > |

A new caucauss is being formed by the likes of Microsoft, Nvidia and AMD, among others. This new "PC Gaming Alliance," as it is being called, exists to further the public image and cause of video gaming on the PC. The home consoles are dominating, and now, with prices low enough that even a teenager can afford a decent PC rig, it is the time to bring PC gaming up to snuff with the consoles. The official announcement of the group's formation will come just before this year;s GDC expo. Sounds good to us, the more PC gaming to give our SLI a workout, the better!

Thank god, i can't belive people love FPS's on consoles so much, using an analog to aim feels handicapped compared to a mouse.

all those in favour of dropping "games for windows" line: say "aye".

kidkit: Nay. Would you rather gave Games for Mac or Games for Linux? Windows is installed on over 90% of all PC's in the world. It's a good marketing ploy. The biggest problem with PC gaming is that you seriously need to spend upwards of $2000.00 just to get the equivalent experience that you can get form a $300.00 - $400.00 console. I love FPS and RTS games on the PC. But I cant remember the last time I upgraded my PC just to play the latest games...

PC gaming is a shrinking niche market.
