PSP Update 3.5 To Unlock PSP CPU Speed Limit, Sort Of > |
2007/06/25 8:34:10: Posted by DM | |
Over the weekend it was reported on the web that the next Sony PSP update would remove the PSP CPU speed cap of 222mgz, which was set in order to preserve battery life way back in the early days of the handheld. Well, to official story is that the PSP's full CPU speed unlock will only affect in-development titles. Previously released games will stil run at 222mhz, not 333mhz. Better than nothing, folks.

Doesn't work like that. Old games will play with default clock speed. New games utilizing 3.50 firmware will be able to take advantage of the new clock though. Good news for devs.

actually your wrong, old games wont change it just it will have more proccessor to work with, it just to unlock it thats all...but yea...its like adding more processor or memory...

...that's what I said... old games won't run any faster. It'll be up to the devs to make new games better with the extra horsepower.
