Images of the new Xbox Live Anywhere service, which will be debuting soon, have popped up over at the Xbox.com forums. One of the features of this service is the ability to use your mobile phone to make your Xbox360 download live media and demos when you are out! Pretty cool, images at the link!

sounds like a good idea. Alot of people would definatly use that so they could have a demo waiting for them when they get home instead of having to endur the download at home.

The idea sounds cool sure, And i apreciate their efforts. But why would i need to que a download? I could just start it when i get home... It seems pretty weird to me. I do like that you can look at your friends list and all that, And if you can send msg's from your phone to your friends (Kinda like mobile aim or yahoo) i think that would be nice.

I guess this is neat, but all I care about is playing great videogames. I don't need to constantly know what my friends are doing on their 360's, and I don't really care for mobile gaming. But if Microsoft thinks this will help them reach 1 billion gamers...

kind of sounds like the PS3-PSP connectivity plan, but more broader since you can connect with your PC and Cellphone- the two most used technological objects in the world lol. I doubt that Microsoft will have 1 billion gamers, that Live Anywhere deal isnt that appealing. I'm not that hardcore about downloading stuff on the go and what game my friends are playing on their 360's. If this Live Anywhere is for free and is just going to be implemented on the current Xbox live then thats great, but i dont think is worth paying extra for :/

Blah : Is this a service we would have to pay extra for? If so thats just insane, I would never drop cash for that.

I'd pay for it, I don't give a shit.

I think its pretty stupid...hell, now that they have updated the dashboard so you can download and play at the same time, this becomes instantly useless...also, why would you have your xbox powered on all the time??? dont get it....

I can see this appealing to the younger generations, or someone who eats and sleeps video games. Knowing what games your buddies are playing 24/7 on your phone ... oookaaay. Yea, thats really appealing. I doubt my co. will let me add Live Anywhere sevice to my Blackberry.
