Well, here it is, the gameplay video of the Sonic the Hedgehog game that is supposed to turn the entire franchise around. Sonic Unleashed certainly looks great, lets hope Sega was actually able to translate controller movement into great gameplay with this one.

Konami has announced a new game called Lords of Shadow for both the Xbox360 and PS3. Don't get too excited just yet, the game is not due until sometime in 2010. Set in Europe during the Middle Ages, it features an epic battle between good and evil. Pretty vague if you ask us, but it is still early. According to a listing that popped up on Amazon, a new CoH game is apparently on the way. The title, Tales of Valor, may be for PC, but of course, this is all rumor mill for now. More info when we have it.

The expensive music peripherals that go and in hand with games like Rock Band have been drawing complaints from consumers who don't have over $100 USD to drop. Now, with the fact that some of these accessories do not even work on the other music games, gamers are angry. Well, Sony is working with Konami and Harmonix in order to make the microphone and other peripherals universal, at least on the PS3. Games like Konami's Rock Revolution and Sony's Singstar will hopefully work with Rock Band 2's microphone. Good news for us!

Bioware has cleared up the confusion about their new RPG game's planned platoforms. Speaking to Eurogamer, it has been confirmed that the new game, Dragon Age: Origins, will be coming to the next-gen consoles in the near future. The game's Director, Dan Tudge, hinted that the console versions will be released after the PC version in late 2009."Yes. Dragon Age: Origins will be coming to consoles in the near future, yes," Dan Tudge, director and executive producer for the game, told Eurogamer.

Lucasarts has confirmed that there will be a Force Unleashed demo coming to both PSN and Xbox Live on August 21, 2008. Great news, hopefully the frame rate holds up.

Disney has confirmed that there will be a demo for their great-looking Pure ATV Off-Road racing available next month. It will be for both platforms, Playstation 3 and Xbox360. Here in the US, major retailers will be giving away demo discs for the game for anyone who pre-orders. The demo comes with a tutorial mode to teach you new tricks, and a single race set in Italy. It should be great fun, if it plays as good as it looks.

In July 2008, Nintendo was back on top in terms of hardware sales. Here in the USA, that is. The Nintendo DS sold just over 600k units, and the Wii sold just over 550k units. The PS3 came in third with 225k, and then the PSP beat out the Xbox360 for the fourth spot with 222k. The Xbox360 sold just 205k in July. It is good to see that the handhelds are getting the attention they both deserve, especially the PSP. Click read more for the official numbers.
