Well, here we are again, time for the weekly pukepot we call GamersReporting Of course, many of you probably never will end up reading this, and that’s fine, to be honest this section of the website is just as much for me as it is for you readers. You know, my offer still stands as well folks, anyone who wants to write in, be it via email or forum post, feel free to do so and I will happily post it here. The bottom line is, we have more or less nailed the news part of the GR website and we feel it is time to start expanding our horizons in order to bring more readers on board. Our regulars can attest to the fact that more readers here is always a good thing. Anyway, on with the show.

First, let me apologize to any of you who have emailed me already to inquire about moderator positions and the like, here at GR. I get over 100 emails a day at least that have to be sorted through, and I also have to get ready to go away in the new week. If you do not hear back from me within the next 5 days or so, please email again.

Now for the big news. Tomorrow we will finally be kicking off the Flame Wars project that many of you have been eagerly awaiting! We had to close down the section on GR, as you well know, but now we have secured a location and have a system in place in order to facilitate the flaming correctly. The final tweaks will be put on today, and then, come tomorrow, I fully expect my wonderful flaming regulars to get busy, as they say. The new site will be near 100% user content based, though. What does this mean for you? It means a few things.

Firstly, to start out, the new Flame Wars project will be a minimal affair in terms of presentation and actual code. This means that the location set up for the project will be sufficient to start out, but we felt it was not necessary to go huge right off the bat and end up confusing people with glitz and glamour, when the real focus of the project is the user-based content. The bottom line is, if you guys fill it, we will keep on adding to the project until we have the biggest and best game (and other subjects) “debate” website on the internet. If anyone can do it, you guys can, my beloved regulars.

Second, and this is just a quick reminder, there are very few rules for the new location. This means that more or less, anything goes, when it comes to the Flame wars project, just like the forum section on GR had similar rules. With the exception of hardcore porn and personal information, there really is not much else that is off limits when “debating.” What this does mean, though, is that the rules we do have will be enforced with a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY, after a 2-week or so probationary period for users to get used to the unconventional rules. Just to repeat, folks, ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY on the few rules there will be for the Flame Wars project.
