Akuma Char. Images For SSF2T HD, Side By Side With Old, Wow! >
2007/06/07 12:59:28: Posted by DM
Holy cow folks, SSF2 HD keeps getting better and better. Now, images of the sprites (character model animations, for those who don't know what a sprite is) have been released and put side by side with the old SF2 sprites. The difference is startling, to say the least. This version of SSF2 is going to be insane, and hopefully it will lead to many more re-drawn Capcom 2D-ers. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 please?

looks great, would be cool if they were going to do marvel vs capcom after this

MVC2 remake, yeah right! I'd just like the see it on XBLA with online, but I doubt that would happen either. I think we'll all have to settle for another SF2 (how many does that make?)

Wow!!!

I am always interested in a new Street Fighter game like this, but I have to say it has been about ten years since I have been this excited for a new Street Fighter game!!!

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD is an Xbox 360 game I am going to LOVE playing!!!

Um, sorry to burst your bubble but this game is coming to BOTH PSN and Xbox Live.
Written by jlemdon on 2007/06/07

Itaintrite, hate to burst yours but I think he knew that already. He didn't say nothing about it being exclusive.
Written by Itaintrite on 2007/06/07

I'm pretty sure he knows when games are multiplatform, but will try to make it sound like they're 360 exclusives.

Even GR seems to be biased like that (points to article category). So my comment was more of a reminder to all that this is also coming to PSN.

Response to jlemdon:

You are 100% correct that I was aware it was a multi-platform release. I thank you very much for taking the time to stick up for me; I don't forget favors like that.

Response to Itaintrite:

LOL...you "hate to burst my bubble."???

When a game is released multi-platform, it doesn't cause any sort of negative effect on me, because I buy the best version of the game.

I have to say that I rarely play the Playstation 3 because it currently has very few high-quality exclusive games.

I play Xbox 360 much more because so far I have bought EVERY multi-platform release I was interested in for the Xbox 360, because the Xbox 360 versions of the games are rated higher and offer superior performance.

With Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, the game has been completely redesigned not only with graphics, but also with gameplay. SSF2T is re-designed to play with the analag joystick, which will be awesome on the Xbox 360.

The main reason why I am 99.9% sure I will end up getting the Xbox Live Arcade version of SSF2T for Xbox 360 is because of the superior performance of Xbox Live on the Internet.

"I don't forget favors like that."

Uh-oh.

"LOL...you "hate to burst my bubble."???"

No, that was jlemdon. I don't hate it.

Xbox Live lets me know when my friends are online and what they are doing on Xbox Live. Xbox Live also has a much larger audience of potential gamers to play with online. I would also like to add the Achievements of the Xbox 360 version of SSF2T HD to the cumulative Achievement Points in my Xbox 360 Profile.

It's funny how a LOT of multi-platform games are listed as Xbox360 (only) on GR. *shrugs*
Written by Nine on 2007/06/08

Maybe its because Xbox360 has the biggest installed base right now. I believe if the PS3 overran the 360, we'd see the situation vice versa.

Its not because GR is biased. It's just that right now, the main nextgen platform is the 360. Like it or not, the PS3 has to "catch up".

It reflects on GR, since most of the reporters own all 3 "nextgen" consoles, however, the 360 is their main console, and I think thats not very different for anyone who does own all of them.

You have the same issue with other titles, Devil May Cry 4 always being listed as PS3 game on GR even though it is now multiplatform. Ironically, I don't see the 360 fans whining about the label in those news.
