what does that mean ?

This means that Bungie is going to develop on the ps3 and MS should pack their bags and close up shop.

Hello Fellow Gamers. What this means is that Bungie can now put their games on everything with a button,.. like PSP, NDS, X360, PS3, PC.. Etc..

@Xenos - Why should M$ pack their bags? The most powerful, richest computer software company in the world. Dude you need help. There are other companies better than Bungie. Sounds like you want the HALO series on the PS3. Just admit that you want a x360 & be done with it already. :)

Could be great news for those of us who don't own a 360. It's always a shame when a great studio has it's audience limited for one reason or another.

I'd love to see them revisit the Marathon IP, but Halo was kind of an official sequel or even remake of the original Marathon games that made their debut on the Mac so many years ago.

Don't get your hopes up madgunde, I was mostly F'n with blacktiger since I know he would believe anything.

What this really means is that MS does not own this new IP. MS has first refusel rights to anything bungie makes, and I highly doubt MS would allow anything bungie made on the ps3. Besides, it takes them roughly 3+ years to make their games anyways, if they had to optimize their code for the ps3, the wait would be even longer.

Bungie to MS is no different than Insomniac to Sony and I'm sure you would be hard pressed to believe Insonmiac is planning to make any 360 games, wouldn't you?

the different is, SONY gives them any schedule they want, and Microsoft doesn't, they have to follow MS Schedule...

And I read some links where it says Bungie and MS contract has ended...

And most likely they want to release on another system or so...

As part of the split between Microsoft and Bungie, Microsoft owns the Halo IP, and also has first rights to publishing any future Bungie games.

So the answer to your question BlackTiger is that Microsoft owns Halo.
