	Phil Harrison revealed the first in-game footage of Killzone on the PS3 to a select cadre of game journalists last night. The viewing came with a disclaimer, though. "Please remember that we're showing you this footage as an example of our technology," stated Harrison before running the b-roll. "Keep that in mind when looking at it and don't think of it as looking at the game directly." That being said, according to IGN, the game looks like BLACK for the next-generation. yeah i was tipped about this before the event and made a thread in the forums. guess my source wasnt entirely accurate though, it was behind closed doors and wont be up on the PSN network like i was told. sorry guys.

So they've spent what, like 2 years trying to actually pull it off? :).

Will be interesting to see how well they did.

4 long months to see it. Oh well, it's been two years since the trailor. I guess we can wait a little while longer for the 'actual game.'

i just can't get excited about this game, killzone 1 was so bad it had no gameplay and was very generic. getting that CG trailer 2 years ago just did nothing they might as well of showed shrek or something, it had nothing all to do with the Killzone 2 game except for the name. just so i don't get called a fanboy i'm not looking forward to halo 3 either cos halo 2 sucked balls, online was pretty cool though.

after reading more about the trailer, it seems like it was actually more of a tech demo for their "game 3.0" dev tools then a video for killzone. the technology was killzone but was meant to show off the benefits of the easier game 3.0 tools.

basically it was a tech demo and nothing that would impress me. i think i'll wait until E3 instead of looking further into this and trying to get an underground vid from a friend.

Well, I think it is shame that Phil Harrison originally said that Killzone 2 was actual real-time footage, just to deveive people in an effort to try to steal hype away from the Xbox 360 at the 2005 E3.

Thankfully, all of those lies came back to haunt Phil Harrison, just like all of the governments, schools, and major religions teach.

At the 2006 E3, when all of Phil's lies were exposed, he has become known as a LIAR ever since...and that is why he seems to suddenly be saying things like, "You aren't directly looking at the actual game."

Hmmmm...where was that honesty at the 2005 E3? or during 2006?

The problem is, when you tell so many lies, even when you start telling the truth people don't believe you...that is the whole reason why school's tell kids the story of, "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf."

All I can say is that I have no idea why Sony would want to make a sequel to a game that received such low review scores from reliable trustworth sites such as IGN and Gamespot.

I mean, the music video that rips on the Playstation 3 specifically talks about the Killzone series. The line says:

"But Killzone 1, sucked bee-for...

So what makes you think we want it more?"

And Sky, I am not spamming. The subject was Killzone, which relates to this article, and I answered the question of CianMCL, which asked for my opinion. It just so happens that my opinion involved an observation that reminded me of that song, and there are other people out there who might like to know what the heck we are talking about. So, I was just trying to give them the access to that hyperlink, in an effort to improve the quality of their lives.

Even some of the Pics of GoW, about a couple of months before release, kind of look better than the final version. So tell I see a review, I won't believe what 'Phil' says or shows me.

But I really wonder how fun this game is really going to be? With crysis and bioshock coming out soon. Both will be great shooters. What new things does killzone have to offer that we haven't already seen?

Sony has never said that killzone was the halo killer. It's all the stupid ass fanboys like you that claim it is the halo killer.

no actually sony and guerilla both made "halo killer" statements. the media is what really pushed that label out there though, i even remember magazines having "halo killer" in big letters right on the front page

I remember seeing those same things, and I thought to myself, "Were the editors really that stupid to write that on the cover because they meant it, or were they just trying to sell extra copies by generating false hype."

The sad thing is the way that the editors' of those magazines probably knew all along that they were going to give Killzone poor reviews like that, but they just kept hyping it anyways, just so they could sell magazines...that type of selfishness caused a lot of people to be sad and disappointed, and that isn't fair.

Ps. Tecno keep up the good Posts, They're very interesting to read.

That dumb false hype might be the reason why a bad game like Killzone ends up getting a sequel...which was also made up entirely of false hype pre-rendered computer graphic images that Sony originally said were real-time...but weren't.

I think we are in an era where it is better to come up with new games, rather than just promote sequels to every game. I think that only the best games with lots of fans should get sequels.

Well I for one am really pissed at sony. They make claims that this is the "halo killer" They show us a CGI trailer... then say that the graphics will surpass the CGI trailer in some areas.

It has been two years since then, and they still can't even show as much as a screenshot? Now they are claiming that they will show a new trailer in July.

They aren't even giving us any details on the game and why it's supposed to be so great.

I'm sticking with Bioshock... at least they are giving us updates on why this game isn't just an ordinary FPS.

All they are saying about killzone is that it has amazing graphics.. Well what about gameplay? Why do I want this game?

since i rarely play games with a rating of less than 9, and the lowest i really tend to go is the 8.5 range, and that is really rarely, i have nothing to look forward to from this title, i tried the fisrt one and the thing sucked, and i was tryin it out coz of all the hype that was attatched to it, i'm waiting for the second one to come out, and see how the big sites rate it
