	Sony has officially announced that their Playstation 2 console has turned seven! Not only that but apparently 120 million of us are invted to the party! Since its release in North America on October 26, 2000, more than 120 million hardware units and more than a billion units of PlayStation 2 software have sold worldwide, making it the best-selling gaming platform ever released. While other game systems have vanished from the market, PlayStation 2 continues to exhibit strong momentum, a testament to the design and technology at the core of the product and demonstrating SCEA’s commitment to a 10-year product lifecycle. “While today’s anniversary celebrates PlayStation 2’s past, we’re very excited for its future,” said Jack Tretton, President and Chief Executive Officer for SCEA. “We look forward to the platform’s continued growth and expect to sell approximately 12 million units worldwide by the end of March, leading us to anticipate that PlayStation 2’s lifecycle will exceed that of the original PlayStation®. PS2 was a great system because it had plenty of games in every genre...everyone was happy to own a PS2, no matter what kind of game they liked.

PS3 is a failure because it lacks games!

PS3 still has absolutely no games in certain genres.

For example, Xbox 360 and PC get great Real-Time Strategy games, like Command & Conquer 3 and Battle for Midearth 2, but PS3 doesn't have any Real-Time Strategy games.

Xbox 360 is a great system because it has plenty of games in every genre: Puzzle, Party, Dance, RPG, Trivia, Real-Time Strategy, Racing, Shooting, Sports...EVERYTHING!

No matter what kind of game a person like, the Xbox 360 has great games in that genre.

Great games in every genre, and receiving the largest amount of third-party support are the reasons why the systems like the PS2 and Xbox 360 succeeded.

WHO GIVES A SHIT ! GET BACK TO PS3 !!!

this is obviously a ploy by sony to divert attention away from the lackluster PS3 sales. I am not an XBOX360 fanboy, i think Sony is needed to keep microsoft from getting lazy!!
