The 892MB demo of Overlord is available now on Xbox Live for the 360. This game has been called the "Oblivion Killer," as it features epic single player RPG style gameplay. As for whether or not it beats out Oblivion, you will have to download it yourself and see.

Overlord looks like it is going to be a great game for both Xbox 360 and PC Games for Windows when it is released shortly.

The same can be said for the upcoming game called Two Worlds that will shortly be released for Xbox 360 and PC Games for Windows.

RPG adventure games are a very fun genre!

With so many of them available for Xbox 360, I don't know if I will have time to play them all this year!!!

RPG adventure games are great, but like you said about not having the time... that's the problem I'm running into! I have about 15 hours into Oblivion and just haven't had the time to put any more into it.

i love RPG's especially oblivion, it has to be good or better than oblivion for me to buy it otherwise i might as well play oblivion. has anyone played it yet?

Response to LordFlux:

If you only have 15 hours into Oblivion, then you have quite a while before you will finish it. The expansion pack called Shivering Isles for the Xbox 360 version adds 30 hours all by itself. That brings the total to somewhere between 100-130 hours, unless you get some of the other downloadable content on Xbox Live, then you will be playing even more!

I was reading an article today that talked about how the Xbox 360 is loaded with RPG games coming out simultaneously for Xbox 360 and PC Games for Windows. Like I said before, Overlord is one of the games getting a LOT of attention, and other one is Two Worlds. Those two are being released very soon for Xbox 360 and PC.

But the article I read today talks about a game called Dungeon Hero for PC and Xbox 360. Dungeon Hero is a very long ways away; it won't be released until sometime in late 2008 or perhaps 2009, but that just goes to show that Xbox 360 and PC are going to have plenty of RPG games for a very long time.

Mass Effect will be released for Xbox 360 later this year, and I will have to play that one NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Fable 2 is another Xbox 360 RPG game that will be awesome.

So many games, but not enough time!

^ yup, for me no time, as well as not enough money. I have to make some hard choices

I've haven't been playing with my 360 for quite some time. I'll download the demo and check it out. Seriously, ever since i started playing lord of the rings online, i've been average 5-7 hours a day! yes i work from 9-5. I've been so hooked it's ridiculous. Oblivion can't compare to LOTRO. It's so much more fun playing with other people. And yes i have Oblivion for PC and 360, got bored about a month after it came out.

The only thing that lets me down with oblivion is it doesnt have the same depth as Morrowind.. Its a pity they included fast travelling, it makes the game a lot shorter feeling..

Back on topic, Dark Messiah was supposed to be competition towards obilvion and it ended up being shite, overlord doesn't look amazing from the trailers either

Overlord and Oblivion seem like to different games after playing the demo. This is in no way an Oblivion killer ill tell everyone that right now. Overlord feels to me allot like Oddworld Munch's Oddysee from Xbox 1. Overlord feels kind of cheap to me, you can't move the camera with the right stick and the character moves pretty generic. It's not that bad but, i didn't really expect to much from a RPG made by Codemasters... LOL

Just to throw my hat in the pond, I don't see how this can be compared to Oblivion. This seems more like a 10 to 20 hour "evil" romp through an enchanted kingdom. You get to be the bad guy and kill everyone.

I find it to be a very fun game, I love that they make you the bad guy for once, and play it up right. I just hope people don't buy this looking for a 100 hour game, I just don't see that being possible.
