	Yesterday, Konami put to rest again the rumors that MGS4 is coming to the Xbox360. Microsoft's John Schappert did comment on the rumor, though, and stated that the Xbox360 could easily run MGS4. if the 360 can run gears 2 than it could run MGS4 still doesn't meant it will appear on the 360.

poprocker: Nobody cares about MGS4 anymore. Some uf us such as myself never did. It had it's 10 seconds of fame. Gave the PS3 an artificial little boost in sales with the bundling. Now it's done.

I just like to throw it in the faces of all the SDF who repeated Kojim's stupid analysis of each consoles capabilities.

I didn't see anything wrong with Kojima's analysis of the systems, it was the fanboys who twisted it out of context. Kojima himself said the 360 could run it, so the 360's capabilities shouldn't have been questioned in this regard

I was considering this for when I get my ps3, but after a buddy revealed that you maybe get 15 minutes of play time within the first hour, this turned me off completely.

I didn't care for how you did more watching than playing with Snake's segment in MGS2 and I was hoping MGS4 would be less of this.

The cutscenes are VERY long, but pretty good (if you can get over the occasional bad writing). The story is very deep though. Despite a lot of long cutscenes, which you can skip, the game is very long, meaning you have far more game time than most other games in the same genre. I think I put about 50-60 hours into this game. If you cut out the cutscenes, it's still a very long game. Long and great.

That's what I don't understand though, a story does not have to be long to be deep. I've played and loved every MGS so far, but again I was hoping that this wouldn't have the convoluted cut-scenes when Kojima himself said he recognizes that some people had an issue with this.

Sorry but getting 15-20 of gameplay within an hours worth of time is pretty bad, even JRPGs aren't that bad. I'm not tryin to knock the game, it's obvious that it has some quality, but it's just something I don't care for. I'm a gamer who likes to play games, not watch them.

For fans of Solid Snake, the story is way more than doable. MGS4 was more than a game, it is one of the few times a game can be considered an experience. It's one of the few times I've ever "felt" for a character b/c his appearance is so off putting. The game is fun, the experience is a masterpiece...if you're a fan of the story.

I'm a fan of the MGS story arch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to sound like a PR person to defend it.

Plenty of games have offered experiences in a masterpiece manner without drowning the player with movies. Hell I'm not even sure if you could be considered a "player" by what I've been told, more like a watcher who is sometimes a player. =p

FagTiger, Shemeu couldn't fit on 1 disc and it was still a good game on the DC, FAGTIGER it didn't take away from the experience of the game.FAGTIGER I say this because you ask the question as if it ruins the gameplay, FAGTIGER I've heard its mostly a fucking movie, ever hear of intermission, FAGTIGER, from what I hear of how long the scenes are in that game, FAGTIGER, then changing disc should be much of a problem FAGTIGER. (Let keep in mind GR doesn't have member by the name of FAGTIGER, right....? FAGTIGER)

Concerning the discs, it's not a big deal. MGS1 is still my favorite MGS even though it came on 2 discs. MGS4 is only around 30GBs, the game doesn't have lossless 7.1 audio like it was intended to have, and everything in the game is real time I believe with maybe an exception here or there where the cut scene may be rendered in-engine but not on the ps3 in real time.

Even if the game came on 3 discs, I much rather take the 3 seconds to swap discs than to wait the 3+ minutes for a chapter to install. MGS4 is the ideal game to show how blu-ray this gen is not the end all solution.

XDF spin on blu-ray? Huh? There is nothing XDF about my comment, if it wasn't for the installs that last minutes, I wouldn't have anything negative to say about the format.

Why does an opinion, even a justified one, always have to be related to fanboyism? Blame it on Sony's rules or the slow read/seak times of the drive, but when someone can't just load up a save to show friends "the cool part" without waiting for an install, that's pretty stupid. I think you'll find few, regardless of their platform of choice, who argues wth that.

If my enjoying MGS4 makes me sound like a PR guy, so be it. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, it's the best overall game I've played this year by a long shot.

I'm just saying that your description of MGS4 as an experience sounds like something that would be written up in a press release describing a game, nothing to get defensive over.

I doubt the game will run as is on the 360.. also metal gear online uses Konami ID's and game ID's and all that crazy stuff seperate NOT psn.. so its impossible for them to use xbox live.

I personally don't understand why Konami went that route.. you have to go thru there store to buy add ons and its just a pain. theres tons of people playing online though. just got off

It will be embarrassing for them to try and run mgs4 on 360. They will fail and it will show the limitations of the 360.

Well I wouldn't say all that.. but some things will be cut. and it for sure wont be the same experience online or off line.. thats for sure. fundamentally it just would not work
