Q&A With The Man Who Stashed 3 Million New Atari Cartridges >

In a quirky interview, Gamasutra spoke with the head of O'Shea Limited, who stashed 3 million, yes million, sealed, new Atari cartridges in a cave in 1990. He has been extracting and selling them ever since. The limestone cave in Missouri is more akin to hidden gold or silver, but this cave holds "gold" for the O'Shea liquidation company. It seems that when Atari got rid of its stockpile of unsold Atari games in the early 90's, O'Shea was there to buy up the copies of Joust, Galaga, Tower Toppler, Pole Position, Ms. Pac-Man, and more, all for the Atari 2600 and 7800. He tells Gamasutra how he now is able to sell them to collectors for a large profit. I wonder if he has any of those horrible E.T. Cartridges...
