PS2 may be 'last-gen', but, im betting that it will continue to sell beyond the life span of the 360. Heck, they only stopped production of the PS1 last month (which means it outlasted the entire lifespan of XBOX1 and then some). Soon, PS2 will have the 'last-gen' market all to themselves, this is a market that MS has all but dropped completely.

People in other countries other then the U.S

Microsoft will drop the price of the 360 as well during the ps3 launch (it only makes sense) and with a cheaper 360 along with games like gears of war, too human, mass effect in availability around the ps3's launch after the show they're going to put on at E3 (especially mass effect and too human) it's going to be a tough deal to pass on.

i dont think they have stopped production of the xbox. have they? so on your terms the ps1 hasnt out lived the xbox...

Production on the Xbox was stopped a few months ago, thats why the price of it went up at most retailers.
