	In case you missed it yesterday loyal readers, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is now available on the USA PS3 store. Previously, the game was only available to Asian PS3 users, and people who were able to grab the game before Sony shut down the work around we posted. The title cost about $21.50 after tax.

Holy Crap!!!!

Lumines Live on the Xbox 360 is a GREAT game with new gameplay, but I deliberately didn't buy it because it was $15, rather than $10 or $5, like all the other Xbox Live Arcade games...

Charging $21.50 for a remixed Playstation 2 gamed called Tekken 5, when Tekken 6 is on the way, seems like a STUPID thing!!!

They need to consider their pricing structure again...BIGTIME!!!

Why do you need to make people feel bad about wanting to buy this game? If someone feels its worth $20, then how does that affect you?

so $20 dollars is a steal for this title.I'm enjoying this game on my 1080p hd tv it's awesome.

Also @ UTP for those who are really ignorant, PS3's version has 3 new characters (one that isn't available in any other version even the Arcade), new levels, new customizable items, Ghosts, and anything else found in any other version. to top it off, it runs in 1080p. you can't compare all that to PS2's T5 if you were blinded.@UTP Go away troll.

I just don't see the logic in paying that much money for a game that you will not be motivated to play when Tekken 6 is released.

I didn't know the game had three new characters; that is pretty nice.

But there is no way I would ever pay $20 for a game like this...I wouldn't even pay that much for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the Xbox 360...I would just pull my Sega Saturn out of the closet and play it on that.

Im sticking with the PSP version forget 1080p, my brother just bought Tekken: DR for PS3 but guess wut he playing it in 480p,lol!

new york, how is $20 a steal, if it plays the same as the old title only with better graphics, how is that supposedly great? they put it as a download, that i can understand, but how different is that from all those remixed XBLA titles?

UTP, why are you comparing a little puzzle game to a REAL arcade game? How about this...why should i pay 15 bucks for Lumines Live when i can get Lumines 1 and 2 at a cheaper price for my PSP? Tekken 5 DR is well worth its money just because it is still Tekken 5 DR with a little bit of enhanced graphics, 1080p support, additional characters, and lots of other things. Whats great is that they are selling it at the same retail price as Tekken 5. If you are a huge Tekken fan, then getting this game on the PSN would be awesome for you. For some of you people that think paying 15 bucks for a puzzle game is worth its money, but buying Tekken 5 for 20 bucks online isnt?...just stop being fanboys. Now if this game was 30 bucks, id understand. But since this game is being sold at the same price as its PS2 counterpart then im not complaing.

now blah, go and get the game if you want it soo bad, if you read what i wrote you would notice that i really dont care about them online games, pluys i have played tekken so much, additional characters, when was the last time you saw characters with new moves and a new fighting style. asuka is jun kazama, michele is too similar to julia, that chick who fights like eddie, and raven reminds me a lot of kunimitsu, law has a lot of copy pasted moves from VF and DOA, and the list goes on and on,i'm talking from experience, what point of veiw are you talking from. dude i've played every tekken title from tekken 3 apart from dark ressurection, and really in depth, we did it with my friends for hours on end, on a day to day basis

UTP, you should really stop posting in PS3 forums. You are purposely attempting to pick fights by posting what you have been. Stop picking fights and then appealing to the site owners for a ban. It is sad. If you didn't post the same redundant crap over and over again, maybe people wouldn't call you out. You know what I do when I see a news item about a game or topic I don't care for or about, I ignore it. You should try it.

I think $20 is a bit much, but I'll probably end up buying it anyway... I enjoy the Tekken series.

The FACT of the matter is that this Tekken game will be the most expensive downloadable game EVER on any next-generation system by over 40%!!!

That is simply UNFORGIVEABLE!!!

If people buy that sort of game, then it won't be long before all the games cost that much.

If that bothers you, or you don't like it that Sony is messing up with pricing, yet again, with the Playstation 3, then don't blame me...blame Sony or Namco...they are the ones who insist on charging this rediculous price.

And don't say I am a fanboy...I have often ripped on certain games on Xbox Live Arcade for being $5 when I think that a couple of them should be about $2.

UTP, you are so full of it. You are right, you have as much right as anyone else does to post the redundant garbage that you do. Others have the right to call you out on it. In case you didn't hear me the last 100 times I've said it...WE KNOW YOU HATE THE PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. You don't need to continuously barrage us with the same crap. Keep posting the same garbage, keep getting called out. It's as simple as that.

Facts:

1. Tekken 5:DR is likely the hottest fighting game at the moment in the east, west and in between.

2. Tekken 6 will have a console release after a year and a half at least. In a couple of months the first arcade betas will show up, beta testing will last close to 4 months (like Tekken 5) and then by the end of the year there will be an ARCADE release. The Playstation 3 version will come at least a good year later (or the arcade owners will be bitching again like Tekken 5). That is the case so far. So 1+1/2 year providing the beta testing starts in a couple of months (which is highly improbable).

3. VF4 had an upgraded version (VF4 Evolution) with 2 extra characters, new moves, customizations and of course balance fixes. It was released with a full game price at retail and sold really well. T5:DR does the same thing minus the full price (some extras are missing but who wants the bowling minigame anyway?)

4. Everybody is happy with the game and the price, at least that's the case with Tekken Zaibatsu.

You don't know what Tekken Zaibatsu is UTP? Why I'm not surprised.

Comparing a 840MB game with >50MG minigames, (or 10 year old games) is stupid. Is "stupid" considered cursing? Probably.

But UTP I don't think you are stupid at all. I think you are something worse: A microsoft PROPAGANDIST. In case you are directly or indirectly involved with microsoft, you are breaking the law. What you are doing can be found under "FALSE ADVERTISING" and (in many countries) is prosecuted. It's common for microsoft to do this kind of propaganda, happened with linux, happens with PS3.

In case I'm wrong, you of course have every right to "opinions" that are either lies or misinformation.

I'll be brief. Some people around here have their facts wrong. Tekken Dark resurection isn't the most expensive download game by 40%. The title for most expensive downloadable game goes to Lumines Live. It cost $15 for what they called the "base game" all the other features (which were really needed for it to be considered a full game) were avaible for an additional price. The price total came to about $30. I don't if the price structure has changed since its released but last time I checked (at the game's launch) it was priced that way. You can check out IGN's and Gamespot's review for more details. You can also check the complete price in gaming blogs like joystiq and kotaku.

Tekken is a full game. A perfect port of the arcade game running at 1080p. It's the first time we can play an arcade perfect port of a tekken game so the price is reasonable. I wish it had been $15 but $20 isn't bad considering the ps2 version costs the same.



VF4 evolution was released as a greatest hit title. So it was worth $20 since its outset. It was another great deal and my favorite 3d fighter ever.

Can't forget to mention Need for Speed carbon and all other EA games. You spend $60 on the "full" game. Then they release "add-ons" and all such crap that should've been included in the retail version for money.

So no, Tekken 5 DR for $20 is in no way a ripoff. At least you know you're getting the FULL version.
