	The PS2 is apparently still outselling the PS3 in Japan. The Media Create numbers don't lie, and sales of the PS3 this week were at 3931 units, as compared to the PS2's 6962. The Xbox360 seems to be outselling it as well, with 7844 units for the same peroid. Sony's new PSP-3000, though, is helping to keep the Sony handheld sales at the top of the charts, with 60,467 units, which even beats out the Wii at 24,292 and the Nintendo DS at 22,965. >Link

I second that Xenos, I think Mid - November they (Sony Fantards) are going to have the annual meeting in which they are going to announce 2009 is the year of PS3. -standy

Joking aside, news like this really makes me excited for the next generation of consoles.

What is there to celebrate about? I respect the Japanese, and Nintendo, but I agree that HD gaming needs to have more of a presence there.

Actually no, the east is ahead of the west in terms of profit and you can thank Ninty for that.

I just wanted to be clear, not sure about the others comments here, but mine was just in good fun. Honestly, with the kind of focus the majority of the japanese developers are showing, I really wish the ps3/360 did better against the Wii. I love the system, but I want more japanese support for the HD systems.
