Lets see some ingame footage the ps3 should atleast be capable of delivering a beautifl game (look at i-8)

Alot of people are underestimating i-8 from what I hear this is like the only game to show ingame gameplay footage right? And it looked extremely impressive so if killzone lives up to that then the game will flat out be amazing.

I hate being a pessimist, but I don't think anything shown for the PS3 on E3 was actual gameplay. I believe it was more target renders than anything else.

@silverwolf, well, then you are wrong. Fight Night Round 3 was real-time. The latest demo for Xbox360 proved that, as it looks just as good. Unreal Tournament 2k7 was definitely real-time as well. Killzone...hmmm...

@Itaintrite, None of the demo's shown at E3 where running on actual hardware. All demo's be it CGI or realtime where running on PC's. So technically I'm not wrong. There was no PS3 present just on paper and an empty case. Xbox 360 was the only one with actual hardware and games and they got floored by Sony CGI's and realtime demo (UE3 being the only one). It was all smoke and mirrors from Sony's part but it work even on the so called professional media.

That's news? A QA guy said "not long now" - that's kind of relative isn't it? Especailly since they haven't made any announcments whatsoever beyond the E3 "movie" -based on what this guy actually posted it could be 6 months from now and they'll only announce the official title...sheesh

***Newsflash, I said that "in the near future we'll have more details on Halo 12 - and by near future, I mean bicentenial...."****

Fight night round 3 was not ingame gameplay that was a real-time demo completely different from a game you can control. The only thing you can do in real-time demos is pause rewind and change camera angles, but that wasn't the actual game, but it should be capable of looking that good, but it should be noted that wasn't actual gameplay.

Even metal gear wasn't realtime, but you gotta give hideo kojima alot more credit the killzone developers aren't known for being the most amazing of devs, but kojima if anyone can pull it off he can.

i-8 was the only that looked like realtime, but that could've also been faked, BUT the people making i-8 are top of the line triple a devs so I think they'll pull that off as well.

I actually got a chance to see this game in motion today on a friend's dev kit (he works for scea)he was sent a latest build version of killzone for the ps3 from some guy at guerilla games and I asked that he send me via e-mail 3 or 4 screens of the game as well practically had to guarantee the guy like 10 times that they'd never leave my pc he sent me 5 1920x1080 screens (unsure if final game will be at 1080P reso though)

Since I promised not to let these screens get out I can't show you screens, but I'll give impressions of what I saw. It currently looks nothing close to as impressive as the pre-rendered stuff up top. Thats the first thing that jumped out at me (The character run animation and how they were ducking down to take cover was rather impressive to say the least. All the movements look as if they were being made by actual human beings.)

The gun models look good etc, but so far I'm not seeing anything that different than what I see from fear for the pc in terms of graphics, but they DO have alot more time to work on this thing so my comment about visuals could be a bit premature.
