Playstation 3 Hits 2 Million In UK, PSP Hits 3 Million >

Sales of the PS3 console have passed the 2 million mark in the UK, says Sony. Not only that, but the PSP has surpassed the 3 million units sold mark. If accurae, these are both accolades to be proud of. Now that Sony has sold more than 2 million units at the non-lowered price, it is likely time to lower the price on the PS3, since most of the hardcore buys already own one.

"Obviously PS3 is a premium product with a premium price tag," Sony Computer Entertainment UK senior vice president and managing director Ray Maguire told trade paper MCV. "Interestingly, because it has sold two million at a higher price, it suggests more longevity of the PS3 because we have chipped away at the top end of the triangle."
