	Kojima-San has finished showing off the latest footage from Metal Gear Solid 4. He said the game shown was all real time, and frankly, the game has received another downgrade. We know that it is playing with fire to say so, but there is no other way to say it. The good news is that the game will have a simultaneous worldwide release, so Europe is no longer screwed. Unforunately, Kojima also reiteratied the fact that not only will this game be the last time we will join Snake's story, but Kojima himself is also done with any Metal Gear games. That does not necessarily mean there will not be any more MGS games, but Kojima will not be involved. Kojima-San has said this before, and it sounds like he does indeed mean business. By the way, MGS slipped to 2008.

Yeah, Vamp was awesome in the trailer, but Raiden wasn't bad either unfortunately. I just can't seem to like the guy lol

Never been a MGS fan, but this game looks cool. I've bought all the MGS games, but I always end up trading them in. I'm pretty sure I just suck at it.

When I saw this trailer I went bonkers. Easily the best fucking next-gen game out there. I MEAN FUCK HOLY SHIT COW MY FUCKING JESUS WTF MAN GOD DAMN I CANT FUCKING WAIT ARGH... See what it does to me?

I wasn't to impressed by the trailer.... I thought the graphics looked average. I'm sure i will still buy MGS4....I'm just let down by the graphics a little.

I watched it on The Sony presentation on G4TV. Ill download the torrent and see if it looks better on my computer.

LOL G4tv stream. What a joke. That's likely a 320x240 resolution video enlarged to whatever resolution they were outputting. Even then, it was still showing off how great the game looks.

No...LOL. I watched the presentation live on TV. The game was on the whole TV screen when they showed it. G4 aired both M$ and Sony's presentations live as they were happening.

I just watched it again and i'm still not blown away. I think all of the background textures look very low resolution and gritty. The games gonna be awesome...Theres no doubt about it. MGS has always been about the gameplay with a unique graphic style. I was just expecting more from the graphics.

You shouldn't listen to what i say though because i'm one of the people who wasn't blown away by the Killzone 2 showing either. It looked great but, i was expecting Gears type graphics and it's far from Gears from what i seen. It's still early though....It's a defiant purchase...I was just expecting better graphics.

jb33, MGS4 and Gears have totally different art-style. So your point is moot. UT3 will no doubt look better than Gears, but does it look better than MGS4 for me? Hmm, I prefer MGS4's graphics.

Easy Itaintrite...We all know how you act when someone says anything remotely negative about your precious PS3. Your 100% a Sony fanboy and HATE when anyone says anything negative about your love. I don't remember trying to make a point in my post...LOL. I simply stated i wasn't blown away by the video and i expected it to look as good as Gears.

I like the PS3 as much as you do and can't wait to actually be able to dust this thing off and play it. I wasn't really blown away by the Halo 3 video either and that's my favorite game.

Ill tell you what did impress the hell out of me though....Heavenly Sword, It looked stunning and the gameplay looked even better. G4 showed the developer playing Heavenly Sword and it looked nothing short of amazing. Mario and Ratchet And Clank impressed the hell out of me also.

Uncharted looked great also... Uncharted will probably end up being one of my favorite games of all time.

Itaintrite...Sony does this shit to them selves...They tell you the game is gonna look amazing and it ends up looking a little better than average. Sony reminds me of EA anymore...You watch a EA commercial and all you see is fake rendered movies. Thats why i boycott all things made by rEhAsh accept Fight Night.

I'm no fanboy either....I own and love all 3 systems. I just give my opinions and tell the truth instead of being a biased fanboy and some people don't like that.

I dont care if MGS4 looked like a PS1 game, I'm going to shit my pants just from how awesome the story will be! >:O

I wasn't to impresed witht he video. The graphics are good, but not that good. They have hyped shit game WAY to much. It hasn't even come out yet and I'm already sick of it. I wonder how many more times the graphics will be downgraded.

I personally was blown away by different videos like the Killzone 2 and UT2k3 videos.

**Downgrade my ass. Kojima says what we saw in the latest trailer is what we'll see in the final game. The latest trailer looks considerably better than what we saw at TGS 2007, and its finally running at 60FPS. Downgrade? Come on. We'll see what it looks like next week when we see the actual gameplay, but remember that Kojima always matched the visual quality of the gameplay to his cinematic cut-scenes.

The environments still have some low-res textures, but the character models got an upgrade. Look at the soldiers' models and Snake's model from TGS, then look at their models now.

I haven't been writing on the Internet lately because I have been quite busy.

One thing I can say is that Microsoft and Sony had very different themes for their E3 presentations.

Sony's theme was, "Games, Games, and more Games." Unfortunately, most of the games Sony talked about are either multi-platform or scheduled for 2008.

For example, after Sony's Jack Tretton announced that Unreal 3, and Haze, would both be Timed-Exclusive games for the holiday 2007 season, there was a video shown up games being released for the PS3 this holiday season. There were 15 games shown in the video. ALL FIFTEEN of the games will also be released for the Xbox 360!!!



Now, consider that the Xbox 360 versions of those games will be better, as usual.

Look at the way Ubisoft has said all along that Assassins Creed will have better Artificial Intelligence on the Xbox 360.

Look at the way Madden Football 2008, NCAA College Football 2008, and All-Pro Football 2K8 will all run at the smooth fidelity of 60 frames per second on the Xbox 360, but only 30 frames per second on the Playstation 3.

Consider that only the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto 4 will be the COMPLETE version of Grand Theft Auto with 20 extra hours of gameplay and two extra episodes.

There is no question that Microsoft has a MUCH STRONGER lineup of games this holiday shopping season. Microsoft has better third-party games, and a MUCH LARGER number of console exclusive games!

That is why Microsoft's theme for E3 was, "Right Here, Right Now!"



Microsoft showed all the sales data from the most successful holiday season ever, the year 2004. That was the year when Halo 2, Grand Theft Auto, and Madden were released in the same year and were the top three selling games in the industry.

But those three games were NOT available on the same system that year! This year of 2007 coincidentally has ALL THREE of those games being released at the same time again, just like in 2004. But this time, in the year of 2007, there will be a game system that receives ALL THREE of those games. That system is the Xbox 360!



I have seen analysts say three things:

Xbox 360 is the ONLY PLACE where you can play Halo 3.

Xbox 360 is the ONLY PACE where you can play the COMPLETE version of Grand Theft Auto 4.

Xbox 360 is the ONLY PLACE where you can play Madden Football and the other football games at 60 frames per second.



At Microsoft's show, they only showed ONE game from 2008--Resident Evil 5. And the only reason they showed that is because they probably knew that Sony was going to show it, since Sony's selection of exclusive games for 2007 is much smaller than what will be available for the Xbox 360, which forced Sony to devote so much time to games that will not be available until late 2008, like Gran Turismo 5. Ya know, the racing game without the physics damage to vehicles, and very little polygon detail in the background.



Microsoft COULD HAVE shown games from 2008, like Too Human, Infinite Undiscovery, Alan Wake, and many others, but they wanted to focus on NOW...THIS HOLIDAY SEASON...NOT Mid-Late 2008, like Sony was forced to do.



In all honesty, I believe that is the most technical sense, both companies achieved the goal of their themes. Sony showed, "Games, Games, and More Games." The really bad thing is that those games could be classified as, Timed-Exclusive, Multi-Platform, Mid-2008 release, Late-2008 release. By the time games like Gran Turismo 5 get here, the PS3 will cost less than $400!



Microsoft also achieved their goal, because they truly do have the best software lineup in the history of gaming. It is a statistical FACT that the 2004 Holiday Season was the best one in gaming history. ALL three of those games are being released this year again. But in 2004, all three were not available for the same system. In 2007 ALL THREE can ONLY be found on Xbox 360.



Add console exclusive games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Blue Dragon, Beautiful Katamari, Lost Odyssey, Ace Combat 6, Fatal Inertia, Two Worlds, MotoGP 07, Project Gotham Racing 4, and many other exclusives, in addition to all of the multi-platform releases that will be better on Xbox 360, like Virtua Fighter 5 Online, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty 4, and many others, and it goes without saying that Microsoft is 100% correct when they say the Xbox 360 has the best lineup of holiday games in the history of the videogame industry.



Even the liars at Sony never had what it takes to say something like that...and Sony tells BIG LIES. The difference is that Microsoft has proven, Right Here, Right Now, that the Xbox 360 has what it takes to back up that claim of having the best holiday lineup of games in the history of the videogame industry! And when 2007 is over, the sales figures will prove it!
