LEGO Indiana Jones Preview > |
2008/03/10 13:51:13: Posted by DM | |
The LEGO series of games have always been a popular seller, and now, the mother of all archaeological adventure stories is going to get the plastic block treatment. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure, is set to be released on Xbox360 and PS3 this year. IGN XBox630 seems pretty positive on the game, and the developer, Traveller's Tales, seem to be doing a nice job with the graphics and sound, as you can see by the media. The rolling boulder though is a bit jagged. It is LEGO though, after all.

Yeah, those Lego games can be really cool.Ya know, recently, I was watching one of those Super Nanny programs with my family, and I felt really bad for the little kid. This kid was extremely well-spoken, even though he was only about 9 or 10. The parents decided they no longer wanted him playing games unless they were for his age group, though. Well, according to him that meant he couldn't play his two favorite games (Gears of War, and Halo 3).Now...Stop and think what a wonderful world we would live in if there was a version of Gears of War, and Halo 3 where it was in a Lego Universe, with characters similar to the originals, but only in a "Kid" version...kind of like Virtua Fighter Kids fighting in a Lego world.Wouldn't that be AWESOME!!!

I agree with krogan. My kids are too young for for the bloody stuff but how I wish they would make a "Grand Theft Elmo" or something. They just want to drive around. My seven year old was having fun doing that on the "Test Drive" demo a while back but some guy kept trying to run her off the road. So mean. All she wanted to do was honk and try to obey traffic signals.

but how would they sell? not very well. I would rather developers keep working on new IPs and innovative gameplay. If the game is for general audiences, it will be made as such, if not, then the kids should wait, or get their parents to buy it for them, as most usually do.

Response to Cryos:Cryos...do you realize what you have witnessed? You have seen the day when the Unbiased Technology Professor and the Ultrabiased Electronics Scholar have come into agreement! This is a day that will probably appear on the calenders of gaming enthusiasts across the world!Now...The reason why I think these that Gears of War and Halo versions of Lego would sell well is simple:Because the other versions of the Lego games sell well, and Gears of War and Halo are the most popular videogames out there. Also, consider that even Virtua Fighter Kids sold well on the Saturn.I'm not really sure how a "Kid" version of Marcus Fenix would chainsaw one of the Locust enemies, though. Maybe he could give him a bear hug or spank him or something. But, I still think that would be cool.
