seeing the first e3 videos of this game are what made me think about wanting a PS3 way back when. I really hope this game is as good as it looks.

So watching a pre-rendered movie made you want a ps3?

Technically it was a 'target-render' of what they were hoping to achieve ... i dont think they quite got there though.

No, technically it was a lie to take attention away from the competition. No way around it, the way Sony handled that whole fiasco was a joke.

No beta. :-( I'm not surprised. I guess since I got to participate in the 2 week girl with a stick RFoM 2 beta, they figure I've had enough.

I too was excited about the pre-rendered video. Since I've seen the actual in game footage, my excitement has remained. It is a major reason I wanted a PS3 and is still to this day a game I greatly look forward to.

I see nothing wrong with getting excited over the actual game, but I think it's rather stupid to get excited over a pre-rendered video.

With today's tech, it annoys the hell out of me when companies show pre-rendered video instead of real time, there isn't any need for it.

Sure it did. Did I know it was pre-rendered at the time? No. But the actual footage they showed after the fact was pretty close to as good. If they had shown the actual footage, I would have been just as impressed. It wasn't just about the graphics, the character animation, art direction, voice acting, cinematography and choreography were all very impressive to me. To be honest, I was very impressed with what I saw from both 360 and PS3 when they first launched. I was not expecting them to take such a big leap forward in graphics capability. But I think that KZ2 trailer somehow symbolized exactly what I was looking for in a game. Kind of a cross between Halo and COD4. It's been a long wait though, I certainly hope it was worth it.
