Gameinformer spoke to Jeff Moris, producer of unreal tournament 2007. He said the playstation 3 version and PC version are being worked on simultaneously, however, when asked if the games would ship at the same time for both platforms, he said "definitely PC first."

Gearheadsofwar, one of the better GoW fansites, got the chance to speak with the infamous Cliffy B. from Epic Games about the upcoming XBox360 title. Not much new information is revealed, and the interview deals more with the publishing side of the game. It is a good read though for those of you who cannot wait for this title, which is many of us.

According to the ever-present Mark Rein of Epic Games, there will be no Gears Of War demo before November 12th, Emergence day. The demo would simply take too long to create and finalize, and there is just not enough time for that. Mind you, why they cannot take the E3 demo, tweak it, and release that, is beyond us.

Sightings as recent as at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2006 have confirmed its existence, leaving gamers breathless. Microsoft Corp. today announced what anxious players have been eagerly awaiting: Emergence Day 2006. Available exclusively for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the highly anticipated title “Gears of War” will be available in North America on Nov. 12, 2006.

It seems that Unreal Tournament gamers will have to wait until 2007 to play UT2007. Yes, it makes sense, but it was originally slated for the holiday season of 2006.

On top of that, Atari did not even mention the Playstation 3 version of the game by name. Atari stated: "The next gen version(s) [of UT2007] have yet to be tagged with an exact ship date yet." What this cryptic statement means for the PS3 version, we are not sure, but you can count on it not being a launch title.

As the 2nd news on Gears of War for today, we bring you a possible slip-up of a Microsoft rep stating that we will see Gears of War between September and October of 2006. Could this be the big announcement that Epic was going to give us on Gears of War in the near future? For now we are uncertain and this is being thrown into the rumor mill for now. Epic Games VP Mark Rein called episodic gaming a “broken business,” triggering outrage among some delegates during the Develop Conference in Brighton, England today. Since Episodic gaming seems to be the wave of the future, we would not even be surprised if Rein has to eat his words one day.
